I love this chain of restaurants, excellent fried and roasted chicken, with a variety of hearty sides. Be sure to try the dirty rice if like spicy grain/protein combos, they generally offer free cone soft ice-cream while you wait. Try rolls as well.

Food was room temperature at best. I enquired about the Texas pecan chicken salad ingredients due to food intolerances and the cashier didn’t even try to go and find out what was in it. She just told me “well you better just not order it then.” When I received the food I did order, a 3 piece chicken tender meal, I was given three very small strips of chicken and both the entree and the side, a order of French fries, were room temperature at best. The roll was the only thing I would give high praise to. This experience should have been better and it makes me wonder if it’s worth it to ever return.

I have had a great experience every time I’ve come to this location on 16th Street in Orange Tx. The manager and staff are always kind, welcoming, and helpful when a problem arises. Today the online system was not operating properly and my issue with my order was handled quickly and understandingly. Aside from the delicious food, it’s the staff that keeps me coming back. I’d give them 100 stars if I could.

I was asked to wait 5 minutes for the chicken would be ready. So I pulled around front waited 10 minutes then the young lady came out with my food and told me to have a great day. When I got home fixing our plates I noticed they only gave me a 8pc it should have been 10pc. I didn’t call the store only because the food was great and the two ladies one ladies name was jasmine was very nice. Keep up the excellent service of being friendly

Oh my word, how have I missed out on Golden Chick all these years! I don’t know about others, but the one in Orange, Texas is perfection. Food was perfect, place was spotless (bathroom too), AND employees were friendly, yes! Friendly like they were hosting us! Shon, Tawanna, Tasha, Jay and Arlene..thanks for having us for “supper”! I usually only come in the early afternoon with my child and fiancé, and it’s always so fresh and good but we decided to come today in the evening. All I can say is the counter guy was an incredibly rude not to just me but i witnessed him do it to two other customers. The chicken was old and dry tasting and the fries were cold as heck. For $40 for a 8 piece meal with two sides and rolls for it to all be old and nasty is honestly very upsetting to me.
