Went at a slower time so the chicken was merely warm, not hot, since they weren’t having to cook as often. Also seemed a little more oily than normal. Service staff was friendly and efficient. Value to cost isn’t in line, my opinion. If the food was amazing, the cost would be appropriate, however, this is average and comparable to other fast food quality.

Food was delicious – we ordered the roasted chicken wish mashed potatoes and green beans! We stood at front counter for 3-5 minutes before being acknowledged by anyone – there was no “welcome to golden chick” or “we’ll be right with you” we just stood being ignored to the point we were about to walk out when the guy finally came to the register to take our order. And yes, they saw us because we were standing on line behind the customer of the previous order and three different employees also walked past the front counter 3-4 different times with not so much as a word, a smile, or anything else. Employees need better training on CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Went to Golden Chick in Van alstyne, just to get a 6-piece tender meal. It cost $17 and they shorted me a tender, no big deal, but when I notified the guy in the drive thru window, he acted like it was my fault I inconvenienced him. Never said sorry, just stood there with his mouth open for a few seconds and said one minute. And then came back with the extra tender in a box, no eye contact, no verbal, no nothing. I am so sorry to inconvenience this poor employee. In short I didn’t like his attitude

We ordered the 12-piece combo with two sides (mashed potatoes and green beans). The mashed potatoes were fully liquid, more like sour potato soup. The green beans tasted like they were marinated in soy sauce, which had been sitting at the bottom of a pot – all day. The chicken wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t good either, lacked real flavor and was extra greasy. For $42, I say save your money and eat at any other place.
