I am from Maryland and we don’t have Golden Chick in MD so I wasn’t sure how it was going to be. Food was good had a chicken sandwich with fries. The people down here are so nice, They have that southern hospitality makes you feel welcome. And the best part FREE ice cream

In addition to great chicken (roasted or fried), this Golden Chick has ice cream. It’s not your typical soft serve but more of a buttery flavored ice milk, FREE with your meal if you are dining inside. So few Golden Chick’s have a working ice cream machine that this is a rare find.

Food was bland tables were dirty .. lady couldn’t take an order for anything. Couldn’t understand what she was even saying. People in the back with no hair nets or uniforms on just chilling sitting on shelving and such. Ordered 12 chicken fingers and got ZERO dipping sauce and when asked for some I got CHARGED 75 cents for one whimpy sauce. And then the ice cream machine was broken but no sign. My kids were extremely disappointed. Worse 1st and last experience ever. Thought I’d give it a try since we don’t have one in Illinois. Never again. I’ll stick with raising Cane’s and KFC.

My husband ordered delivery for the kids and I and half of the order was wrong. Not a big deal on a normal day, but when you’re tired from work and the kids are not happy with dinner and I can’t eat because the chicken is breaded, it’s not okay, especially when you paid the exorbitant cost to have it delivered. Worst yet, their number doesn’t work when you try to call!! This was our first time ordering from this place since moving out here and will be our last!!

Updat Dec. 1, 2025, I ordered a large order of jalapeno
poppers for $6.59 with tax $7.12 and asked for my senior discount. It states on their website that you have to spend at least $6 to get a senior discount but the girl at the drive through refused to give me my senior discount, so I refused to buy the poppers. When I got home I checked the website again and it didnt say anything specific that you have to order so I called and asked to speak to the manager, some punk kid which that is the problem with this golden chick, incompetent teeny boppers with no work ethics are running the place while the owner is gone, lol. He gets on the phone and tells me I can’t order a family poppers and get a senior discount! Lol, I asked when the OWNER would be in and he starts laughing and says not until the weekend. I spoke to the owner just the other day because I come here about twice a week and he was complaining about how slow his business at the restaurant has been lately. I hate to tell him it’s because of the incompetence of these ignorant ARROGANT teenagers. So I will no longer be a customer of Golden Chick in Greenville Tx. From now on I will go to POPEYES Chicken!
When I first moved here in 2021 I started coming here to eat and the food was all right as time went by the quality of the food went down so I stopped coming well about a month ago I decided I wanted to try it again and the food was delicious the service was great I don’t know what happened I went there again last night and the service is absolutely terrible I asked for my senior discount but didn’t get it and was told I had to buy a combo meal to get it but when I checked the website it says you just have to purchase $6 or more the food has gone way down again I don’t know if they lost their good cook or what but I could only eat about half of my tenders because the ends are so hard and overcooked you cannot even chew them up the food was cold I also ordered jalapeno poppers the eight piece which are almost $7 and half of them were like half the size of the other four so I don’t think I’ll be coming back here again for a while have a great day

It’s just off the expressway behind the gas station so it can be a little tricky to get to but the food is good and the service is great.. if you don’t want to drink with your order you can add another side to it so it’s a pretty good deal if you just drinking water or have your own drink or don’t want to deal with drinks on the way home.
