Fried chicken is crispy on the outside and very juicy from the inside. However, it is super bland if you eat it plain so I recommend getting it spicy/add wicked seasoning. I liked the jalapeño poppers and mashed potatoes the most while the rest of the sides were okay. I also like how they serve sweet bread rolls instead of biscuits, other places need to start doing that more. Service is good and they are always staying busy. Place looks clean and decor is nice.

Yet another chicken restaurant in Wichita… But wait it has 3 things different. #1 Rotisserie chicken! Super yummy. #2 Hawaiian rolls instead of biscuits, yummy but I like biscuits better. #3 Big Red soda(South Texas tradition). (Bonus #4 – Public Service discount, police/military/veterans 10%). I had the coleslaw. I would think they make it there in the store, it is a generous portion with large chop. My biggest complaint, there is only one, way out East side. They could have one all over town in several locations. I enjoyed the special touches on the high seating tables with the extra cushion seats, the wonderful ceiling tiles(look like old copper ceiling tiles), and the unique ceiling fans. This was my 3rd time, special nod to staff for their very welcoming and friendly service. I hope they keep this kind attitude.

Got the spicy wings combo with this zing sauce. So good. Wings were just the right amount of crispy, meat was juicy. Roll was fresh, perfect with honey. They have only been open for about 4 months. Definitely recommend. I’ll be back to try everything else for sure.

They are definitely still working out some kinks. Rolls were definitely the best thing along with the smoked or oven chicken. The fried chicken just didn’t have any flavor. Very nicely breaded though!! Manager was very nice and working his tail off ensuring all us customers were taken care of.

I’m not exaggerating when I say this chicken rewired my brain chemistry. We’ve eaten here 4 out of the 7 days since discovering it. At this point, I think they should just put us on the payroll.
The chicken? SO HOT AND FRESH it should come with a warning label and a theme song. I tried the Spicy Dill and Lemon Pepper flavors, and let me tell you!!! They do NOT play with the seasoning. This is not your average sprinkle, sprinkle situation. This is full-contact flavor, and I’m here for it.
They even have a special seasoning bottle that you’re legally obligated to shake all over your fries like confetti. I’m considering carrying it in my purse.
Now let’s talk about the corn nuggets-mmm- golden little joy bombs. Crispy on the outside, sweet and creamy on the inside. I would fight someone in the parking lot for the last one.

Golden Chick finally opened on the Eastside of town. I don’t think it was worth the hype but still some really decent chicken strips. I enjoyed the spicy ones over the regular strips they serve and the gravy was awesome. The rolls were basic and the mac and cheese was also. Golden Chick was good but not great.

1st visit today. The restaurant was appealing and clean. The staff was nice. Food quality was great. We tried the regular and spicy chicken sandwich combos. Nice size chicken breasts and not dry, I think the spicy chicken should have the spice in the batter and not sprinkled on top. The fries were good, just needed a little salt or seasoning. Okra were ok, not a big okra eater.

My wife almost done with her salad and saw hair in her food. I ordered extra chicken strip and did not receive it. The rest of the food ordered was good. Maybe opening week is hectic but gotta keep hair out for food to have good impression

Ate at Wichita KS, 1st time!! Excellent food!! Went to tell the manager, as I’m not sure how often they hear a compliment!! They did forget my okra, but it was resolved immediately!! Liked the chicken better than KFC. I was so excited that they had fried okra, AND…diet Dr. Pepper,plus those rolls…just like Texas Roadhouse rolls. Love them. Next time my husband wants to try the catfish!! If there were improvement on anything, I would say the mashed potatoes could be changed. I’ve seen instant potatoes that taste more like real ones! But overall good food. Can’t wait to try some different things!!

I had the chicken tender dinner with Cole slaw and a roll. The roll was good. The chicken was branded. I think it was lacking salt. The gravy dipping sauce was thin and also bland. I think it was lacking pepper. I prefer cole slaws that are on the sweet side. Their’s was on the sour side and was not appealing to me.
I used the drive thru so I can’t speak to the atmosphere.
I gave 3 stars on service because the worker kept telling me to refer to the menu board which is too tall to have all of the text easily visible in the car.
