My honest review on Golden Chef Chinese Restaurant

I paid $20.50 for the general tso’s chicken meal +8 crab rangoons.
This food was NOT at all worth $20.50 more like $12.50
The pieces of chicken tasted really weird. Some of them were overcooked, some were overly breaded, some of them didn’t even have chicken inside the breading. The rice was okay and the crab rangoons were good.
But the biggest part of a general tso’s chicken meal is the chicken so when that is let down the whole meal is bad.

Back again for take out 9/29 This place is by far, my favorite Chinese restaurant. I stopped by for a takeout today, got number 27, mixed vegetables and two eggrolls. The food is delicious as always, I just love this place. This restaurant is family owned and operated by a very very nice family. It’s always a pleasure stopping here. They have a few tables with one TV to watch CNN only, if you’d like to eat in. But I usually take home. I can recommend everything above plus general Tso’s , chicken, and the fried biscuits. I really haven’t had too many other things on the menu because I know what I like. But based upon my experience here, I cannot imagine you getting food you would not enjoy. Always five stars in my book, great service, great people and darn good food and a nice clean establishment.

Food is good but I’ve called them several times when I made an order and told them that sweet and sour sauce isn’t on the menu and when I request a few in my bag they refuse claiming it’s extra. If it’s extra then it should be on the menu. They have 10 sauces on there but no sweet and sour. I won’t be going back.

I spent $65 dollars and was very disappointed. The egg rolls is nasty I had ordered spicy lo mein and got regular. Chicken was soggy and I sat outside to order my food so my food wasn’t sitting that long. Overall the shrimp fried rice was good and the general tso’ chicken. First time trying this spot.

I will be back..I ordered general tso chicken, sesame chicken with fried rice, egg rolls, and chicken wings.Everything was freshly made chicken was good quality. The only reason it was a 5 star is because the rice and egg rolls were dry..Next time I may just skip the egg rolls and get a drink with the combination plate and definitely get soy sauce for the rice..But other than that a good meal and experience!

I tried it twice. Both times it was so below par I’d rather drive further.. The food was very greasy too. Once a neighbor had me over for homemade Sweet & Sour soup. I joked and said we should take it over to the Chinese takeout and tell them THIS is how it’s supposed to taste. They hated the food there too. I think the restaurant must use sub par ingredients and don’t care about the quality. Never ever going back.

Staff is always friendly in the place is always clean and spotless. I come here often since I live right down the street and the food is always good. It’s made fresh and piping hot when I get home. They have make your own stir fry.

got takeout, food was hot, which was awesome, but otherwise pretty bland. my beef lo mein smelled like seafood and the noodles were weirdly mushy and my egg drop soup was tasteless (not even salty). the crab rangoons were good, though
