If you like Chinese Buffets & Sushi this is the restaurant for you!
I had a couple of my friends recommend the Golden Buffet Restaurant located in East Peoria and decided to try it. I’m glad I did ! Really good food and excellent service at the Golden Buffet. We got sat right away with no wait and headed to the Buffet and grabbed a plate. I heard about the shrimp wrapped in bacon and made sure I tried that along with coconut shrimp , Tso Chicken , seafood casserole, peanut chicken , crab rangoons , ribs , lo mein noodles , and cleaned my plate which is rare ! Everything I tried was really good !
My son (a sushi lover) tried the sushi which he also said was tasty. The restaurant was clean , well lit with a inviting atmosphere and very family friendly.
It’s a little pricey but worth it compared to fast food – $17. per adult.
I will definitely be a return customer to the Golden Buffet .

First time trying this establishment and we were not disappointed! The first thing we noticed is how modern, spacious and CLEAN this place was. Obviously, a newer facility, but the dinning area, buffet and even restrooms were all meticulously clean and organized. The decor was upscale and modern with comfortable booths, tables for larger groups and excellent lighting throughout. The staff were prompt, friendly and attentive. The price was reasonable ($18/person for the lunch buffet) and they offered take-out, priced by the pound. The food was fresh and well-prepared with a large selection to choose from. Everything from Chinese food, Pho and sushi rolls to pizza, ice cream and pastries. I live a couple hours away but anytime I’m in the area I will return. Highly recommended.

Wow! Very clean, modern decorations/styling, wide variety of advanced/complex food offerings plus a pho bar and a sushi bar. I am unsure if drink is included in buffet cost (I think it is?) but I got a water. They have full service waiters, very well stocked buffet bars, and continual service at your table to bring/refill drinks, take away empty plates, etc. obviously no to go boxes since it is a buffet but you definitely get your money’s worth. I had a large plate plus went back for a second plate of nice sushi – ate my fill for the $13.99 lunch buffet plus tax and tip for $19.00. What a fun experience!

Great customer service, especially being Thanksgiving day! Turkey tasted good, loved the seasoning with soy sauce, it was very moist and juicy. All the food was fresh, great quality and taste! Desserts with the coffee was an awesome choice, it paired perfectly!

A pleasant Surprise as I didn’t realize they had opened. The quality of the food was very good, everything was pretty and refilled regularly. The sushi and Pho station was a real hit! The buffet and desert selection was a tad limited but they make up for it in the quality of the food.

Hello there! We were invited to a family lunch here at the new Golden buffet last Sunday. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but I heard the original owner of the very first Grand China buffet (at this location) was back and heard some people were very fond of that thought! I’m going to assume that’s why they’ve been so busy every time I drive by.
We don’t often eat Chinese, but we decided to meet the family there. The restaurant was very busy and we had 8 people in our party so they gave us a number while we waited for a table. We only had to wait maybe 10 minutes before we were called in. I get that they were busy, but they sat us in 2 booths where as we would have much rather sat together, we would have gladly waited for a table. Other than that, the food4 was good and the buffet was well stocked. My group of people were able to go up a few times to try some new things! The fruit and dessert bar looked the best to me. Everything looked so good. I believe there were some things I didn’t even see just because they were so busy and I was hiding from the crowd, lol. On the way out my niece and nephew took some cool pictures with the”alien characters” they had a great time.
I do believe we will go back visit again.

This was my first time at Golden Buffet and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely kind. The food was great and they had plenty of options. All 4 of us (2 adults, a teenager, and picky 8 yr old) were able to find plenty of things we liked. The price was decent as well. We will definitely be back!

My son treated me and his family to dinner here tonight for my birthday. The food was great very good and tasted fresh. We were there only a short time but I saw food being replaced and brought out fresh multiple times. Our bus guy was amazing he was very polite and attentive. He was very sweet to my 2 1/2 year old grandson who had crawled under the table to hide. He brought him some little toys a dinosaur and a lama. He did not have to be so sweet! Will be returning!!
