Food was hot and fresh. The quality of the food was good. We ordered a combination platter. It only came with 1 egg roll. I wish they would’ve filled up my sweet and sour chicken. Container was half full. We received more gravy than pepper steak. A bit on the expensive side. $5 for a small container of won ton soup?

My first experience with this place was a good one but I don’t recall what I ordered at that time. But this last time I ordered left me declaring that I can’t trust this place. I ordered the chicken Egg foo young and was really looking forward to chowing down. Here’s the problems I encountered:
1: The heavier than usual weight of the patties should’ve tipped me off but my belly thought I’d hit the jackpot. But biting into each patty proved how wrong I was. It would’ve made more sense to call the dish a bean sprout patty with a hint of egg. Each patty had the thinnest coating of egg. It’s as if someone took a food brush and gave the patties a “glaze” of egg before preparing it and putting it neatly in the gravy. I often order egg foo young and I’ve never experienced this before. I was hungry, and I like bean sprouts so I reluctantly ate the “bean sprout foo young” patties with only one other problem…
2: Someone there clearly don’t understand that because shrimp is a major food allergen, food establishments MUST take extra precautions to prevent cross-contact (the accidental transfer of an allergen. I googled it to be sure.)
I’m allergic to shrimp and upon consuming the patties I began having a mild reaction. This clearly told me that my food was prepared on the same surface as something containing shrimp. Like I said, it was a mild reaction, so benadryl or hospitalization wasn’t necessary but I don’t see myself eating there again. I love Asian food but that was so disappointing and could’ve ended up being so much worse. I’m hoping nothing like this, or worse, has happened to anyone else.

I grew up around the corner from here and it’s BEEN THE ONLY Chinese I will get… idc how far I am. This is the best authentic Chinese with REAL CHICKEN… not that soggy dark meat stuff. GREAT portions it last for at least two days or share

Ordered large sfr, w/baby shrimp & extra green & white onions, & large jumbo fried shrimp, which came with white rice, & side of gravy.
I arrived home with 1/2 order sfr, large jumbo shrimp, and 2 sides of that canned gravy.
There was no real apology from the manger, she continued to say I got what I paid for. Actually I did not because I would never order 2 sides of that gravy. The young lady who took my order did not understand English very well, and continued repeating my order back to me. I thought we finally had it right. The manager who i spoke with after I arrived home continued to say you received what you paid for and continued overtaking me. Not ok customer service at all.
