We had such a wonderful experience at Golden Bird Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were very generous, amazing value for what you get.
We ordered the pho, spring rolls, and green onion cakes, and everything was so good. The spring rolls were hands down our favorite part of the meal, perfectly crispy on the outside and so flavorful inside. We honestly couldn’t stop talking about them!
It’s a family-owned business, and you can truly tell they put so much love and care into their food and their customers. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more special.
We’ll definitely be coming back for more, especially those spring rolls!

Ordered bun bo hue and it was delicious. The owners were very friendly—what stood out to me the most was when they made a mistake on my order, quickly rectified it, and I heard the staff laughing about it at the back. It was heart-warming.
The atmosphere was warm and cozy. Couple this with the friendly staff, Golden Bird is the perfect spot to eat on a cold, winter day.
I will definitely be back.

The Golden Bird is an old old establishment on 97 Street in Chinatown. Still serving up some of the most delicious food in the city at very good prices, the Golden Bird is still a worthy destination.
Our server on this day was a little grumpy. We worked to lighten the mood and to try and cheer him up. He eventually came around.
The space is minimalist. It’s not necessarily dirty…just old and a bit run down.
But again the food… It’s a winner!

My food looked absolutely delicious and some elements were. I enjoyed the shrimp skewer. There were a couple issues – the beef was very hard with the consistency of a pork puff so that was strange and the peanut dipping sauce was a bit watery. The other ratings are excellent so I’m not sure what happened during my experience.

There are lots of good Vietnamese Restaurants in the city but this is my favourite. Fresh and generous portions served promptly. Not the “standard” dishes you find everywhere. Check out this vermicelli bowl. I’m a regular here.
