Here is a photo of the chicken breast dish. Chicken was good enough and the mashed potatoes were delicious. Vegetables could have been seasoned or had a sauce on them. Bloody Mary was great, but it was $19. Mom got the burger and she enjoyed.

Elena was our server and it is clear that she does not like her job. Ordered 3 beers and a slice of key lime pie amongst 4 people. Beers all came out at separate times. Asked for a lime for the modelo beer, and sweet gracious Elena pointed to behind the bar and said they are right there get it yourself. Mind you, we were seated at a table. 20 minutes more go by and no key lime pie. Just glares from the server anns her ignoring all of our “excuse me’s” & requests. Elena finally returned and asked if we wanted anything from the kitchen. I said the key lime pie from earlier would be good. She got defensive and said it was frozen and thawing. Menu calls it fresh, but whatever. When it came out it was warm from sitting under a heater and the presentation/whipped cream situation was dismal at best. Tried to give her another chance and ordered two more beers, she brought the wrong one out and neglected the request for limes again. Save your time and your money. Don’t come here, and if you can help it don’t sit in Elena’s section. Drink menu also doesn’t have prices, feels very gimicky.

Food was okay, nothing to write home about, but decent. Atmosphere was airport bar. Okay, but nothing amazing.

We had Luca for a server and he was great. Quick, personable, lovely. Could not ask for more.

Drinks were made quickly and well. Great option for a drink pre-flight.

I don’t usually write reviews, but today’s experience was horrible.

We arrived at Golden Bear and the hostess made us wait. We saw Elena pass by and asked if we could be seated; she kindly said yes. At that moment the hostess came back and started saying she couldn’t seat us.

Then she began asking who wanted to order takeout, moved those people to the side, and started taking their orders while everyone else kept waiting. After that she went to the computer and then to pack the food. Desperate, we asked a young employee if we could sit down and he told us we had to wait for the hostess, who was still packing food. There were more than 10 people in line and she was only asking about “to-go” orders. All the tables were clean and there were several servers around the bar unable to seat anyone.

When Elena finally took us to a table, the hostess started yelling at her saying that was her job. Clearly she wasn’t doing it; she was more interested in the takeout orders.

We asked to speak to a manager and were told there wasn’t one. It’s obvious this employee needs training, especially in customer service. She even said the managers wanted things done that way, which is hard to believe given how absurd the situation was.

The customer service was very poor and made us feel uncomfortable. Thanks to Elena, however, our experience improved — she gave us excellent service.

FYI…. When you arrive at a restaurant, the hostess is supposed to be the first person to welcome you, which was not the case for me or for the other people who were waiting. Instead, we encountered someone who not only showed no intention of seating us, as previously mentioned, but also had a terrible attitude. There was no smile or sense of hospitality at all.

My wife and I had lunch here today and it was such a great experience from start to finish.
the service truly stood out. Lucas was outstanding ,friendly, attentive, and very professional. He made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down and took great care of us the entire time.
Excellent service makes all the difference, and Lucas absolutely delivered. We’ll definitely be back!

We waited in line for 45 minutes to sit, many tables sitting with dirty dishes and the host staff just blatantly walked past them. Table next to us was filthy when we were seated and remained that way out entire meal..

Do better….

Jack, head over to your namesake restaurant at FLL and fire the manager immediately. i was standing by the “wait to be seated” sign over 5 minutes – while watching the waitress and waiter walk aimlessly around without real purpose – yet no one came to seat me. ( the place was 1/4 occupied). I finally spoke up and was shown to a table by the waitress who pointed to it. I sat, waited another 7 minutes and no one ever came to take my order. I saw a girl who looked like she may be the manager – I asked her if i can have someone take my order; she said sure, and then left – never saw her again. I then asked the waiter who was walking by my table if i can have a cup of coffee – he brought it and never came back. Long story short, after 25 minutes of sitting at the table and never having the chance to order breakfast, I had to leave for my flight. I could have walked out without paying for the coffee because no one came for the bill either! But i went and found someone to take my $5 and left vowing never to go back. Jack! Is this how you want people to associate your name with?

Breakfast was decent. Potatoes were great. Burrito was dry but the salsa helped.
Look carefully at your receipt before paying as 18% gratuity is automatically added, but if you don’t read the bottom of the receipt you won’t know and they still have a line for tip like every other receipt. Was $35 for breakfast for 2, with water, just FYI.

Golden Bear grill has easily become my new favorite spots when I travel. It’s not your typical airport slop. The black bean burger and pork quesadillas are out of sight. Service is fast and food is excellent. My last visit the manager Jessica checked on our table and she was so kind and sat us while the restaurant was busy. Will make a point to stop in every time I’m in Fort Lauderdale.

The service was quick and kind of friendly. I had about 50 minutes before my flight and finished with about 10 minutes to spare.

The food had no flavor and was decently dry. The atmosphere was reasonably clean and it was calm enough to grab a seat before your flight. I wouldn’t return here simply because the chicken club and fries had no flavor. Total cost was about $20 no drink included.
