This was my first time eating here. Honestly i didn’t know what to expect. The outer appearance isn’t the best but i don’t judge so i went in with a open mind. The food was really good. I started with fried mushrooms they were fresh and tasted great. I then got a salad. Which was good. Then i ordered flounder and fries . Overall everything was good the hushpuppies as well. I enjoyed myself the staff was nice it was a cozy atmosphere the food came up about 10 min . It was very fresh and hot. I enjoyed can’t wait to go back.

The building is freshly painted. However, the furnishings on the inside are very dated and remnants of the old Mexican restaurant can still be seen. It’s not fancy but it is clean. It appears to be family run and they were friendly. The prices were fair for the amount of food received. One odd thing I noticed is that soft drinks cost a bit more and, according to the menu, they only provide one free refill. I don’t know how strict they follow that as I got tea, but I always get multiple refills on my drink while eating, so this could be problematic for some. The batter on the shrimp and fish is light. The hush puppies and Cole slaw are similar to what I’ve had elsewhere and I like them. Potatoes were fine. The tartar sauce was a little sweet to me and the cocktail didn’t seem as flavorful as some, but it was fine. We may very well go back. There aren’t alot of seafood restaurants in that area.

Waking in I did not have the highest of hopes but was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food is. The salt & pepper catfish was absolutely delicious! I had the catfish and jumbo shrimp combo with side salad and steamed veggies. The seafood is what shines, a light breading to coat and tender juicy meat. The reason for not a 5 star: if you don’t like creamy dressings then bring your own for salad, the veggies were the standard steamed with no salt, pepper or flavor (easy to add your own), and the floors of the dining room are carpeted (never a good look or smell for a restaurant). Good prices for some great seafood. I will go back with friends soon.

We wanted to try this location based on reviews. It is a 3/5 star location, at best. The tables were half cleaned. The tea was incredibly sweet – lemon is $1.00 extra, sodas only have one refill. They do not offer complimentary hushpuppies for the table, it is available for purchase. There wasn’t any honey butter. The condiments- cocktail and tartar sauce weren’t tasty. The flounder was fried too lightly. Having the seafood salt and peppered was extra. The fries were not seasoned well. It was an okay experience. The food was just okay.
