Decided to try this establishment today for the first time. I was highly impressed on the service that I received! I entered the restaurant at 2:10pm I was leaving at 2:45pm. I had the Fried Jumbo Shrimp Platter, along with a house salad. The shrimp, and hush puppies were hot, and delicious. The food came out really quick. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying more of their menu options. The prices are very reasonable.

Enjoyed our meal here. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was good and reasonably priced. We had the blackened salmon with baked potato. The combo pick 2 broiled jumbo shrimp and catfish.
We chose the salad instead of coleslaw. Basic iceberg with cucumber and tomato itty bitty pieces of carrot.
Never really liked hushpuppies but they were good.
Loved the nostalgic music and the sink in the bathroom. Will probably try again if we’re in the area.

This was my first time eating here. Honestly i didn’t know what to expect. The outer appearance isn’t the best but i don’t judge so i went in with a open mind. The food was really good. I started with fried mushrooms they were fresh and tasted great. I then got a salad. Which was good. Then i ordered flounder and fries . Overall everything was good the hushpuppies as well. I enjoyed myself the staff was nice it was a cozy atmosphere the food came up about 10 min . It was very fresh and hot. I enjoyed can’t wait to go back.

This place is very underrated and I love the old decor in here and the old love songs from the 70s. It’s a definite throwback in time to when I was a little kid back in my home area.
The food is really good and for the price point it cannot be beat at all. I had a po boy with lettuce and tomato and onion and good considering it didn’t come with po boy sauce. A baked potato was an option as well which usually nicer restaurants offer but they offer it in this nice local restaurant.
What id worry about if I was a local ..although I used to live in this neighborhood. Is that if they ever close, nothing like it will go in its place. It will either be empty and barren or some high end yuppie restaurant would replace it. My bet goes to #1 in this area.
Very good portions for the $$$.

I ordered Cod and Flounder. It was delicious . Also tried the shrimp and grits. All were cooked to perfection and delivered to the table steaming hot. I don’t understand some of the bad comments. Could the decor be upgraded — yes. But it has a charm of it own. And the most important ingredients ( great service and the best fresh seafood dishes ). I deem it a must visit. Never have I had such great southern seafood dishes for so little $$. A new favorite. 2nd and 3rd trip here were just as wonderful. And yes, I will be back. Back again — still great. Fried Calamari is excellent.

I got the broiled flounder with fries, hushpuppies and a salad. The food was great! The fries were done in fresh oil and were light and crisp. They weren’t seasoned but I didn’t mind as I could salt/pepper to my personal taste. Flounder was cooked nicely, hush puppies were good and I liked the salad. Staff was friendly and was a calming atmosphere. I would expect to see more items on the menu for a seafood place but overall was a great experience!
