Always loved this place.. but this time the lettuce was frozen which made the bread completely mushy in the ten minutes it took me to get home, very unhappy my favorite sandwich place.smh is there a new owner never had this problem even since it was on 27th and Howard. If not new maybe employees need a little refresher on whst to serve and what not. Will try again sometime but with hesitation.

Had 4 subs yesterday, Feb. 28. Two kids ham and cheese, one tuna, and the Goldust (smoked holland ham). Great bread, nice serving sizes.
Not sure if it was the ham, or the preparation–but all three ham subs were extremely salty. Tuna was sweet, almost like honey was added. Ate fast and headed out to an event or otherwise would have returned to the counter for a remake. Wanted to try Gold Coast, but won’t be back.

Owner is hands on very friendly, Subs are absolutely delicious!! Thankfully nothing like subway or your other typical franchised subs. An added plus is supporting a small business! Will definitely be stopping in when we’re in the area!!

Oh my!
This was my first sandwich from Gold Coast Subs. I have never had a sandwich so good I went back in and immediately ordered another. The pleasant staff came and happily obliged my Indulgence. What a great sub shop.
Josh, the store owner; was very friendly and came out to greet me. I found my new comfort food provider.
Outstanding!!!

I was excited to try out GoldCoast Subs as an alternative to Jimmy John’s/Cousins/Subway/Jersey Mike’s. I ordered their version of an Italian sub, named “The Gourmet”. The food was prepared quickly and the staff were polite.
The sandwich itself, on the other hand, was extremely disappointing. I was pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the bread, however the contents were underwhelming. I’ve never seen a sandwich with less meat. American cheese did not compliment the salami/bologna well (every other Italian sub uses provolone!). Most of the sub contents were shredded iceberg lettuce, some tomato, and a helping of diced onion. Because there was so little meat, it tasted as if I were eating an American cheese & lettuce sandwich. I was extremely dissatisfied with the sandwich. I won’t be returning, and would recommend that anybody craving a sub visit any other sub shop or deli, as they’ll all offer a superior product to GoldCoast.

Just moved to area and wanted a quick bite and showed up 15 minutes before they closed.I asked the staff for a the closest sub to an italian and got the gourmet. It was done and in my hands not even in 5 minutes. Taste was on point, and was filling. Will definitely be going back to try other options.

First time today…Had the Gourmet 6”. Very dry and the flavor/seasoning was either way too heavy or the lettuce was old as it tasted terrible. Bummer too because the menu looked great and the bread was nice.

These Sandwiches are better than other corporate sub sandwich chains. These have more flavour and love put into them. I travel from Racine to get a sub and I’m never disappointed each time.

It’s a bit nickel & dimey here, I understand it costs to run a business but please put out some napkins and be polite.

Great subs if you are looking for something different other than Subway and Cousins. I love the oils they add to their subs. The 6in subs are a perfect size packed with meat and veggies. I highly recommend!
