This is my favorite bagel store in the area. Nice, clean and fresh coffee everyday. The staff is really kind, they will really take care of you, everyone is courteous & helpful. The BAGELS are Fantastic!Best I ever had! Fresh & Delicious! Highly recommend! Wonderful management!

I tend to want to support local business in town. If you know Wood-Ridge, there are plenty of options that are just as close as Goldberg’s. As I was leaving my house, I was reminded that Goldberg always lets us down either by service or food order being incorrect. Response, new year new hope for this location.
Well, hope just leads to disappointment once again. As I order 2 basic items and sat there watching people come in and out after me; I finally approached the counter cause the lack of operational oversight or management to identify that I was waiting is nonexistent.
As I approached the counter it was deer in headlights with no one communicating to me but the individual that took my order saying it’s not ready. I could see the panic looking for my ticket as there was a minor frenzy.
I sat back down and the food came out hot, as you can imagine rushed so the order was not even correct as the home fries are barely cooked forget about crispy.
The end is what inspired me to write my first review ever, to encourage patrons to head to heights bagels or main bagel in wallington. When my order was finally ready the most experience/tenured workers sent the youngest worker to me to whisper sorry. Who am I supposed to express concern to, the least tenure that had nothing to do with the mistake.
Lack of accountability, service expectations, and attention to customers that want to support is fascinating. You have to imagine it comes from the top down as I don’t think I ever seen the owner look up from his books when he is actually there. Forget about engage with patrons of the business.
Thanks for the let down once again and I have finally learned my lesson to make a right off my street rather than a left to visit this location.

Standard bagel shop with a wide menu of spreads and sandwiches. Pretty nice that they have an area where you could make your own coffee. Plenty of seating. Bagels were alright, but good place to go if youre in a hurry or don’t want to wait too long.

I have been a loyal customer for many years now. I order on uber eats and for regular pick up and have really enjoy their food. HOWEVER, their management ownership and customer service need SEVERE HELP. One of their recent employees (who is a young boy i assumed a family member) has been getting my orders wrong for the past 4 months and I have never said anything because I really do enjoy the establishment and my food. Yesterday both mine and my husbands orders were completely incorrect so we called and informed management with our frustration. We were asked to come in the next day to receive a replacement. Today we went in to pick up our food and not only were both the orders completely wrong again… we received an attitude from the manager. There are bagel places on every corner in this area and many with better food but we stayed loyal because we like to support people we build relationships with. I will NEVER return to goldberg’s in wood ridge again.

I love coming here! The shop is always spotless, and the bagels are fresh, soft, and full of flavor. The staff are kind and welcoming, which makes every visit a pleasure. My husband can’t get enough of their coffee. A wonderful bagel spot right in town!

People’s reviews who say that their orders are messed up are from months ago when they first open. I don’t think the small bagel shop expected such a huge crowd to come in. So I don’t think that they were fully ready and had a full staff ready to help the customers. I know for me personally the first month two months of ordering food there my orders did get messed up but they were super easy and ready to fix the order for me. And I still been going there for the past 5 or 6 months and my orders are just fine. They haven’t messed up since maybe the first month or two of opening. Their bagels are always fresh and delicious. Their egg salad is absolutely delicious along with their cream cheese and their corn muffins and the chocolate chip muffins. They really are a great bagel place to eat at. So give them a try and if you order gets messed up just call them. Or double check your order before leaving It’s not that hard I don’t know why people are complaining about that, It’s an easy fix.

Edit, 09/2025: we no longer go here for several reasons – first and foremost the pricing, but second to that, the staff are rather curt and it almost feels as if you’re bothering them with your order. There are better options nearby.
Edit, 4/2021: the photo I added was a mistake by the employee, they don’t give chips and pickle slices with the nova lox special. I come here pretty often and it was definitely a fluke so I removed the photo.
Also, today I noticed a “non-cash fee” not disclosed anywhere else added to my transaction. A bit pricey for the area, quality has become pretty average for bagel places in the area.
Original review: Great place to stop for lunch! I ordered the #40 – poppyseed bagel, lox, and onion (left off the tomatoes and capers). I really love that they include chips and pickle slices – the pickles were crisp and fresh, and everyone knows ridged chips are the best.
