My wife and I got two different burgers, the Bleu burger and the Blackstone and split them. Both were great choices. The sweet potato fries were possibly the best I’ve had. The Italian wedding soup was o.k. but a little short on flavor.
Atmosphere is quaint and not loud.
Scott gave us great service.

This has always been a solid restaurant with delicious burgers. Their Island Burger had a great grill flavor – not something you typically get from a restaurant. Their jalapeno margarita really has a nice spicy and sweet body to it. Their curly fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings were all above average. To go with reasonable prices, the wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly and the restaurant was clean and well kept.

Those of you that follow me, know that I seek out great local restaurants ! So, today I tried Goldbergs in Dundee. North side of Dodge about 50th, parking in front or lot in back. The food and service is great. Nice selection of menu items, very helpful and courteous staff .

Others at the table had fish and chips, patty melt, and something else. I cant remember. But…..everyone said their food was great. Good classic restaurant. Staff was great and prices fer good too.
My Goldberg Burger and chips was a little less expensive than the big fast food restaurant’s combo meal. And way better. Great job

The avocado turkey melt felt like it was melting in my mouth. It was one of best melts I’ve ever had! The service was very polite, friendly, and helpful. The atmosphere was lively but not too loud and just entertaining enough. I loved seeing the history of Dundee displayed around and how comfortable everyone was. I liked the texture of the onion rings because they were crispy, but they were a bit bland tasting. The sweet potato fries and dip were very good.

Clean cozy spot. Good drinks . Great service. Food was served quickly and it was well prepared. Appetizer was cheese sticks!! Had fish and chips, and taco salad. Will definitely be back.

Very Disappointing! My wife ordered their 1/2 Avocado Turkey bacon sandwich & salad. It came to the table without Avocado?! We ask our waitress, and she nicely said, she’d bring some. What came was a dark/black, over ripe avacado pieces in a small cup. Thinking, it was just surface browning, I tried a small piece, (soft & nasty). I showed it to our waitress and another waitress, who bussed plates. I told both of them; I see why the kitchen didn’t put it on the sandwich, I wouldn’t have put it on either.; And, If they don’t have avocado; this sandwich should be taken off the menu. Both waitresses, said; I’ll tell them. I wasn’t’ expecting a lot a lot, but more than just lip service. The bill was brought to the table without any adjustments? I didn’t stiff the waitress and left the usual ~20% tip; although, maybe I shouldn’t have? Because, yes it was a kitchen/establishment issue, the waitress, didn’t advocate or make adjustments.
For my meal; I had a Reuben, with potato wedges. The potato wedges were hot and crispy, and the Reuben was Ok (nothing to write home about, just okay), The atmosphere is nice, but I doubt If we’ll try them a second time. We did a Google search for comfort food, (This is Not), it’s more in the line of burgers and sandwiches. Seems like they may be relying on the Dundee area reputation for good food?

Well Goldbergs used to be good. Haven’t been here in a while and now will never be back. Processed patties and lack of flavor on just about everything. Artichoke dip had zero cheese just enough oil to make it somewhat ok. Reuben lacked any tangible flavor. I could go on and on but what’s the point. Pick another place to eat….. So so so so many to choose from.

Service was horrible considering we were the only table and it being 3pm in the afternoon. I’m almost positive this lackluster service came from an owner or a manger. The food was sub par probably because they have more items on their menu than their kitchen can make freshly… PS lighten your menu load and do a few items greatly not overwhelm the guest with half luster items. For how beautiful the inside is this restaurant could be so much more. Lighten the menu and train the staff you might be on to something.
