Probably one of the worst vietnemese places in 604.
The stuff is just poor quality, poor cooking and old ingredients heated by microwave. No actual cooking involved as it seems they preprep everything so many of the ingredients look bad and taste old / weird. I am just happy i did not get food poisoning because the food also arrived barely lukewarm.
Dry meat, bland seasoning, seriously makes one wonder if the place even has a real cook.
Service was great. The female servers there are really nice.
Much better options in 604 for same price range.
Do not come here, you’ve been warned and i rarely give out warnings!

I had the beef stew and the rare beef with beef ball pho. Both delicious, good noodle portions and reasonably priced. However, compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in Vancouver, it’s not memorable. The service was good and it’s opened late.

Gold Train on Kingsway is a solid go-to for Vietnamese comfort food. The pho is the clear standout — rich, aromatic broth with good depth, tender meat, and properly cooked noodles that hold up well. Portions are generous and it hits the spot, especially on a cold or rainy day. No frills, just very good pho that keeps us coming back.

I ordered a pho through uber eats last night. And I specifically mentioned about my severe allergy to shrimp. The food was amazing but I think they have sent me a paste with shrimp in it since I had an allergic reaction right after consuming it, and im still suffering the consequences. I cant believe that they wouldn’t take an allergy seriously.

Late night Gem!
We arrived here at 1 AM tonight. Finding a good Vietnamese place open this late is a huge bonus!
While the restaurant is a bit simple/basic in appearance, the food is genuinely fantastic! The soup (broth) was incredibly rich and flavorful, and the spring rolls were perfectly crispy.
Highly recommend this spot for a late-night craving. They also have a small amount of free parking available, which is very convenient. A true hidden gem!

This place is consistent and pretty good all in all — salad rolls here are the standout and always seem very freshly made.
Ive gotten the chicken pho here a bunch of times and its solidly good each time (I still havent found a place that really nails a good pho broth, but the noodles are well cooked and the meat was decent along with the add -ins…would have loved some jalepeno with the basil et al. )

I like pho , and the vodka drink was so goood. The price is reasonable for the portion size. Maybe the drinks were a bit expensive.

I would like to review Gold train Vietnamese restaurant.
I ordered a House special pho noodle large.
Food:
The broth was well balanced with meat, fat and vegetables. The portion was a bit smaller than other restaurants I’ve been to. Overall I liked the flavour of their soup. I will give them an 8/10.
Service:
I was greeted and seated promptly. The soup arrived in 5 minutes. However, the server looked upset and tired. A male server threw a bean sprout plate on the table. I will give them a 5/10.
Overall:
It was almost 11pm at night. They open 24 hours. So if it’s that time of the day, I would visit again for sure.

The food is so delicious and flavorful. We ordered the Rare Steak, Flank, Tendon, Tripe & Brisket Rice Noodle Soup, and the Shrimp Salad Roll. I also love the peanut sauce with the Shrimp Salad Roll. The service was also fast. We were served our orders in less than 5 minutes since our orders were taken. We will definitely go back for more.
