Once locally owned and ran, the attention to customer satisfaction was amazing. Not what it was and sadly, this reflects in my review. The food is still the same quality, although to go portions seem smaller. The waitress staff is great. They are limited in anything they may do to make an experience “above and beyond”.

We just sat in line for 30 minutes and we only had TWO cars in front of us!! Service is absolutely awful! The manager needs to do something about this before people stop coming all together. It doesn’t take 30 minutes to put noodles, hot dogs and chili in a container. Good grief.

Had enough staff, all kids but only one working tickets at a time. Making food one ticket at a time, no staging of food. My burger didn’t hit the grill for 10 minutes. Unlike Middletown. Server eating here food literally at the steam table close enough I could reach out and almost touch her. I asked who owned the location. Not one of them had any idea, said they are never there. They didn’t know who owned the store? Every single table dirty. No one cleaning them. Looked like 5 workers there. Someone in plain clothes came in and walked around talking to people behind the counter wearing shorts. Employee? Friend? Who knows.. I very very seldom leave a bad review but I’m actually trying to help you with this, I love Gold Star..

This staff and location manager are ABSOLUTE rockstars! Hadn’t had Gold Star in over a decade, stop in the Seaman location, headed east and decided to stop. I am damn glad I did. If you’re driving east/west on OH-32, be sure to stop at The Star, and let them guide you to goodness!

Upon entering the restaurant, I was promptly greeted by a friendly associate. My order was taken in a timely manner and it appeared the cook was already working on it before I was finished ordering. My food came very quickly and was hot and deliciously seasoned. I absolutely love gold star chili. Much better than the skyline chili. Also every gold star I go into all the employees are way friendlier than that of skyline. If you’re passing through and you want a delicious chili cheese Coney I definitely recommend you stop in at the Gold Star in seaman.

*Update. We made it back to Gold Star but we shouldn’t have. We didn’t receive our entire order. When I got home, I called. They had already closed and said they’d put my name down for another day. That was fine. Fast-forward a week and they’ve never heard of me. I am guessing $14 worth of food isn’t alot so when I pay that I expect my food or a refund.
We came for fast food but it was anything but.
We quit going for a while because this location is never consistent. I understand the staff shortages, items not always being available, etc.
Also, prepared for the price. It’s outrageous, but Cincinnati style Chili at any location is about the same.
However, this evening, they seemed staffed adequately. The drive-thru was the only option. One other vehicle had been in the drive-thru. It took forever for someone to greet us with less than a pleasurable demeanor. They were out of a few things, so we decided on a coney crate. Simple, quick. Nope.
It took another 10 minutes. I’d think I was lying had I not tapped on the window after 7, thinking maybe they had forgotten. I thought it had to at the least be super fresh! Half were great, the other half were luke warm, and the cheese was hard? It’s like we had two sets of conveys in our crate.

We just ordered food for our whole family to go and we got our food in less than 10 min and had excellent service while I waited. Even have me a free drink while I waited!
Only had one issue with the order they forgot my chili cheese fries other than that would have been a 5 star review.
