I specifically asked for a particular item but after 30 minutes I noticed that it was the wrong item rung up and was not happy. To make matters even worse, they ran out of sweet tea and I was given unsweetened tea to compensate my other sweet tea. I felt that I should have been charged for a regular size instead of the large size of the tea that was not filled up all the way but no mention of that. This location is normally on point but yesterday it was as if a tornado ran through the place.

Nice staff and quick service when grabbing lunch through the drive-through. When you eat inside, the team is just as friendly — it’s always a quick in-and-out experience. Very nice place overall, and the food is usually really good!

Gold Star Chili in New Richmond, OH is a great place to grab a quick bite or a full meal.
Gold Star is one of the Cincinnati area chili parlor chains. They offer Coneys, Gorditos, Chili 3, 4, and 5 ways, Salads, Burgers, “Deckers” sandwiches, Shakes, Fries, Side Dishes, and more.
This location is very clean and the staff were friendly, offered suggestions, and provided quick service.
I had a couple of Coneys. The hot dog buns could not have been any fresher or lighter. The dogs had a nice snap when I bit into them or cut them. The chili topping it was tasty and had that, to me, distinctly different Cincinnati flavor or two to it. A generous amount of cheese topped it all off. No onions on mine as ordered.
While I was eating, I noticed the employees efficiently serving both take out and drive through orders.
Again, I want to commend them on the cleanliness of the customer areas, the employee areas behind the counter, and even their parking lot!
Conveniently located just off of Hwy. 52, this Gold Star Chili is easy to get to and has plenty of parking.
Next time I’m visiting New Richmond, I’ll eat here again.

I usually love gold star cheese coneys. I always get mine with onions and mustard. I was very disappointed. They put way to much mustard on the hole coney crate. They charge to much especially to have to throw them away.

Honestly eating here felt like i was at home with the family eating! The waitress was super nice and friendly, the chili was hot and meaty and the coneys melted in my mouth with not too much onions and mustard to drown out the taste. The buns were fresh and steamy !
Really can’t say enough about how great this meal was!
