It’s a Cincinnati staple. You come for the chili that is known for the region. Of course they offer more and for some that is a good way to try and defer to something that isn’t the chili.

Food is great. The drive through takes nearly as long as just going in and sitting down and getting food and leaving. Not even joking. I eat here 3 times a week and the last month at least average drive thru times are 8-10 mins.
The staff are very friendly, but I feel either they are under-staffed or the staff needs a little more sense of urgency. From my perspective, it seems to be more of a cook/kitchen issue than a server/drive-thru attendant issue.

The location is tucked away, but it might be my favorite Gold Star location, especially dining in. I’ve never had a bad experience at this location. Tonight, our waitress, Eva, was attentive, fast, and friendly. The food was cooked perfectly. This has always been the perfect location before or after a movie. The location may look empty, but don’t let that fool you. It’s great!

Stopped there on my way home. Order 3 cheese coneys with mustard and onion and a five way. Asked for hot sauce with order.
1. Cheese coneys no onion or mustard on them.
2 Onions served on 5 ways ( used to be on the side)
3. Buns where stale.
4. Chili was warm at best.
5. Was only given one hot sauce packet and it was empty.
6. Worst thing saw child going in and out of kitchen area in the back like he worked there. (Maybe 10 years old.)
I will never go to this location again and I am still thinking about filing complaints with several agencies.

Store has a serious issue with cleanliness and either employees are not doing their job or they are very short-staffed. Countertops and side seen from the drive-thru window are absolutely disgusting when I was handed my bag of food the bottom of the bag was smeared with chili meat cheese and it ended up getting all over my car. Unacceptable. It takes 2 seconds to wipe a countertop.

I’m a Buckeye living in KY & TN for the past 20yrs, this is the first Gold Star I pass on my route home when I get to visit and they simply never disappoint! Whether I’m grabbing a coney crate to go or able to dine in for my favorite 4-way, onion – the service is always fast & friendly! The food absolutely perfect and just how I remember! I haven’t rated in several years, but decided to leave this comment after having to be home several times this year. I’m always glad to stop and only wish they were closer to Bowling Green, KY

Does it look like there’s any sauce on this five-way? They want to sell you pasta and beans. They think cheese is worth $10. Also, they now put your onions inside with the spaghetti so you get that much less. The onions used to come on the side. The $10 sauce-free spaghetti is ridiculous. I don’t know why they can’t manage better than they do, but we need a new manager/owner in this restaurant. For the last year or so it’s a standing joke in our house when we get gold star because we know something will be missing and this time it was the sauce

I choose to get 2 sloppy cheese coneys today. Thats where they make them with buns already in the boxes so the chili runs out the ends. Best to eat with a spoon.

Tonight on the Galligan Family GoldStar world tour we stopped at Lebanon Gold Star. Yes that is right we drove right past the Skyline for GoldStar Chili. this is nice little home town Gold Star everyone seems to each other. Our service was fast a friendly. The food as always delicious. Love me some GoldStar. Yes my wife bought out all the killer brownies. Got delivery through Doordash. Both burgers were incorrect. (receipt Had items printed correctly). Doordash offered a pitiful partial refund (I get it.Technically it wasn’t their fault).
called gold star. whoever answered did not identify themselves as a Goldstar employee or the manager.. Just “hello”. I had to ask if I had reached Goldstar. They told me to send a copy of the receipt. I sent a copy to the number I called and to a
separate number on the receipt. They claimed they never received a copy. I then resent a copy to the initial number. (why have me send a picture of the receipt to a number that either isn’t receiving texts or cannot receive texts?!)
I eventually drove to the actual Gold Star. (I had paid $35 for two burgers, fries and drinks. No, it didn’t break the bank. This wasn’t about money. I did make the choice to order knowing the prices. I ordered thru DoorDash because I didn’t have time to go out right then). Therefore I feel I was owed at least ONE of the “combos”. Nope. I got a burger. It would have beem nice to have been compensated at least one of the complete combos (burger, fries and drink) since I had to pay Doordash a delivery and a tip, then ended up having to drive to Goldstar to any get kind of compensation. Also, majorly overpriced for the small portion size, quantity and quality of service
