If you’re reading this, the Crittenden location is only 7 miles north and is absolutely worth the drive. Do yourself a favor and go there instead.

I had a bad experience several months ago and stopped coming in here. I left a really bad review, but after talking to the owner I decided to delete it. Since then, I drive from Corinth PAST this restaurant to Crittenden, where they are ALWAYS FANTASTIC. Tonight I was nearby, and thought I’d give them another try.

I ordered a burger meal and upgraded my fries with chili and cheese. I asked for the toppings to be packed separately so that the fries didn’t get soggy on the way home. They didn’t do that. So I called and a very nice girl answered the phone, took the information, and said she’d replace my bacon cheeseburger meal meal the next time I came through. Suddenly she said the manager wanted to talk to me and some guy said no, they wouldn’t replace the meal, they would only replace the fries. He argued for a few minutes until I have up.

They knew when I called which order was mine and that they’d screwed it up. This was just petty. The girl had it right before this clown screwed up a second chance by being petty. When I talked to the owner before, he seemed to truly understand customer service, but I’m not sure why his employees don’t get it.

Also, I didn’t get his name so I called back several times and got no answer. Then I called back with a different number and the guy answered. Amazing. Zack was the guy’s name, and I can’t believe he was screening the calls. Pathetic.

Keep the fries. I won’t be back for them.

First time back in like 5 years because the previous staff was awful. But all the people they have in now are amazing and they know what they are doing. My waitress was Maggie and she was so sweet. I’m so happy to be able to come back to local gold start.

As someone addicted to the Harvest Pecan Salad, the Dry Ridge KY location is my destination of choice to satisfy my crave. The salad is always fresh and delicious and each staff member takes pride in giving the best possible dining experience. 5 stars all around!

This place was crazy busy. It was around lunch, however. Definitely expect to wait if you get there as lunch picks up. We got lucky and got an empty spot just in time. The server was very nice, the food was hot and brought right out. No mistakes. It’s a small restaurant but great where it matters. With the food and people. 5/5 in my book.

Cincinnati chili is an acquired taste if you’re used to the thick kind served elsewhere, but it’s worth trying. If you’re hungry get the carb-heavy “3-way” served on spaghetti with lots of cheese. Extremely friendly staff in an informal, diner atmosphere.

Excellent service and clean restaurant. Come in and sit down type. The menu has several choices and even for the non chili goers. The place is clean and the food came out quick. Atmosphere is nice and relaxing. It’s a new place for us to keep coming too! I recomend it to anyone wanting some quick food and sit down for a nice inexpensive meal.

Decided to stop in for a late dinner. Arrived at 9:25 (checked their hours on Google before walking in to make sure we weren’t too late). Hours stated 10:00 p.m. As we were sitting, waiting, the staff was very openly and loudly discussing how they weren’t going to wash another dish! Woman operating the grill (name is McKenzie, we later found out) stated “I’m not making anymore hamburgers, the burger bar is closed”.

When our waitress came to take our order, I asked, (because my daughter wanted a hamburger) “did I hear there will be no more hamburgers made this evening, even though you don’t close until 10p.m.? The waitress stated, “yes, actually the internet says 10p.m. only because the drive thru is open until then, however our dining area closes at 9:30p.m.”. I did not escalate the issue because I was just trying to have a nice dinner with my family. As we were eating we continued to watch customers come into the dinning room because the doors were never locked (even after 9:30). In addition, continued to hear nasty and negative comments from McKenzie as we were eating while also having the vacuum being run while we were trying to eat which made it impossible to carry on a conversation with my family, all of which made the entire experience completely uncomfortable!!

As we were getting ready to leave. McKenzie continued to express how upset she was to, apparently have to work, as we all do. And she then stated to a co-worker “yes, I’d like to go home at some point tonight”, in response to a question she was asked.
When at the counter to pay our bill, we asked our waitress to speak to McKenzie so we could express how unprofessional she was voicing her displeasure out loud in front of customers. McKenzie replied to every piece of feedback given “I’m sorry” in a very sarcastic way. Then made it clear to us “that I have a life outside of work that I’d like to get to”. We then realized quickly that our feedback was not received well and we left. As we were leaving we also noticed the hours posted on their front window stated they were open until 10p.m. without defining Lobby hours vs. Drive Thru hrs.

If you have a choice it would be worth the drive to go to a nearby Gold Star, at this point I will not return to Dry Ridge Gold Star and will give my business to the Crittenden, KY location. To any “Ark travelers” please drive to Crittenden, KY (only about 15 min north of this location – verified open till 11p.m. and staff advised if you show at 10:58p.m. you’ll be served; even a hamburger!!!!) and do not allow this restaurant to leave a negative experience when coming to our community!!

While sitting in the restaurant before ordering food the manger was taking out loud to customers eating and bragging about firing employees and other issues, not something customers wants be to be hearing when they are about to order food in this atmosphere. To add on to this, 2 of the employees were on their phones and walked over to the bar top sitting and talking with someone while leaving only 1 other coworker working.
