Let me make something very clear: I have eaten at many fast-food coney places in my lifetime. Skyline, Dixie, you name it. But Goldstar? Goldstar is not just a restaurant. Goldstar is a sanctuary for the soul, a soothing chili-scented embrace from the universe itself.
And the reason my life is forever changed… is Ian.
I walked in craving a simple 3-Way. I left believing in miracles.
Ian—oh sweet chili-slinging hero—did not merely take my order. He curated it. He looked at me with the calm confidence of a man who has stared into the depths of a chili vat and emerged wiser. When he asked, “Is that all for you today?” I felt seen. Understood. Emotionally supported.
My food didn’t just arrive quickly. It arrived like it had been blessed by a council of flavor elders. The cheese? A glorious golden avalanche. The chili? Simmered to perfection, as if Ian personally whispered encouragement to every spice. The hot dog? Honestly, I think it winked at me.
At one point, Ian passed by to check on my meal, and I swear a gentle breeze followed him—like even the air is proud to be around this man. If customer service were an Olympic sport, Ian would have so many gold medals he’d have to store them in a separate chili bucket.
When I finished, Ian said, “Have a great day,” and I’m not exaggerating when I say my day immediately became great. Plants looked greener. Birds sang louder. I’m 87% sure my car drove smoother on the way home.
Goldstar + Ian = the greatest duo since chili and cheese.
I will absolutely be returning. In fact, I might bring my family here for holidays now. Christmas at Goldstar just feels right.

Ordered a regular 3-way in the drive thru and got watery noodles with a few chili chunks. Had no flavor, very disappointing. This isn’t the first time this has happened here. Sad when you’ve been coming to these places for years and prices are increasing while the quality is severely decreasing. SMH…

We did a mobile order as we live in the area and then got on 75N to travel to see family for holidays. Bit into my chili cheese sandwiches and they had mustard and I ordered NO MUSTARD because of allergic reactions to mustard.. My son bit into his cheese coneys ordered NO MUSTARD NO ONIONS and they had mustard and onions. As we were already out of the area I called and spoke to the manager. She told me to bring back my wrong food that we bit into that was made wrong and allergic too and she will fix it. I let her know we are already out of the area could we get a credit. The Manger rudely and disrespectfully said NO CREDIT deal with it if you can’t bring back the wrong food… mind you I’m allergic to mustard and praying I didn’t eat enough mustard that I don’t have an allergic reaction to the bite I took. I spent over $50.00 on this trip to Goldstar and just asked for the credit for the cheese coneys and chili cheese sandwiches that were made wrong not my whole order. I said I will bring back the cheese coneys and chili cheese sandwiches on Sunday when I return back to the area and the manager hung up on me.

I’m convinced this location only hires people if they are rude. Any time I have went through the drive thru, they shove a bag of food at you as quickly as possible and then slam the window almost as if they are trying to prevent you from having a moment to ask for anything extra. One time I asked for hot sauce for my 3 way, the person snapped that it was already in the bag and slammed the window. It was ketchup in the bag. Tonight I order a 3 way, theres no cheese, no crackers and I didn’t dare ask for any hot sauce since I had to ask for the drink that came with the kids meal that all in motion got shoved at me with a “sorry about that” and the window slamming shut. I can understand being busy and rushing, but this is every single time I go to this place.

Me and my buddy James stopped here all the way from Cleveland to get some good food. Buns were fresh, fries were fresh and burger was on kill! Place is super clean. Kaitlin the manager was awesome and her mom was great too. I belive they deserve a raise based on how well they took care of us. The cook was great and she had a very nice smile on her face like she really enjoys working here.

We just had a lunch here, food was quick and fresh. It’s a nice fast food place with servers. Vegetarian chili was surprisingly good. Kids chicken fingers and hot dogs were hot. Good experience overall.

Place is trash. They messed up my order. Wouldn’t give me store credit because I Wouldn’t drive back. I literally live 20 mins aways so drive time would have been another 40 mins. Bunch old Karens . Yall need to work on your customer service. I wouldn’t recommend this place. If you do checn the food.

This is by far the best Gold Star to go too. The cheese is always fluffy and fresh and the buns are steamed to perfection. The staff is always kind and the food is brought to your table in no time. As always I recommend the coneys and fries. But if you haven’t tried the chili burger go ahead and splurge and add it to your order! You’ll be stopping in to grab a burger from here instead of the burger place down the road.
