Gold Star you’ve done it again! Top-notch service, food, and efficiency. Very friendly staff and quick lunch. I love their coneys, Ways, double deckers, Goritos, and THE best burgers around, surprisingly! They’re even rocking killer chicken sandwiches, chili/cheese fries and shakes too. Parking is a little difficult but they are spot on for dine-in, carry-out, or drive-thru. Keep on rocking and representing Cincinnati-Style Chili at it’s finest. Yummo !!

Stopped into Gold Star in Cincinnati and grabbed a chili coney and a chicken sandwich, like in the pic. The chicken was cooked right and the pickles and sauce hit the spot, but the coney is still the winner for me, especially with the ghost pepper cheese. Our server was wonderful, and the restaurant and bathroom were clean. I’ll be back for more coneys.

Out of all the chili restaurants, I enjoy Gold Star. The food from the restaurant is tasty as well as their frozen chili that’s available for purchase in stores. The location of this Gold Star is a little odd but manageable. All in all, everything is great except for one big complaint about a specific menu option. I wanted to get my toddler some chili spaghetti, so I figured I’d get the “small/child” option. I am appalled that for $7, this is the size of that portion – the size of your hand (if that) and a small salad fork. I may as well have bought the tasty frozen chili (which is around $4 and serves plenty) and cooked up my own spaghetti. I would never have paid that amount if I knew this was as little as I was going to get. If this is the portion, fine, but it is way overpriced for that little.
