I have been eating there for years. Their food is delicious,however, today was the last time I ever patronize them again. I love 1.7 miles away and called for delivery. Whoever answered the phone didn’t speak English. I asked the radius of the delivery area is and he hung up in my face. Called back and he hung up again. When I went to pick up the food, the ignorant man said that he can’t answer the radius cause his driver is eating right now. I disagreed. He called me a swear and started screaming. They are no where near that good to be treated like that. 22 Chinese restaurants here, I’m sure there are some just as good maybe even better.

Horrible customer service! I was trying to order food for work the gentleman stated that there was a minimum charge for delivery I asked what it was??? The gentleman on the phone told me to place another order then when I asked again what the minimum order was he disconnected the line. Will not be ordering here

I’m new to the area and I’ve picked up a few take out orders at the Gold Star. Anything I’ve ordered has been really very good. But they really deserve kudos for the way they handle the COVID Social Distancing. You can tell they’re not just going through the motions. It’s a small roadside take out place that really gave it some thought. This is the kind of place you should patronize. Hardworking people. Good food. I hope they prosper.

Visited this place once and the guy behind the counter made me feel as if he was a annoyed I even came in. Food was ok, so I called in an order a few weeks later and same guy was nasty, rude and seemed confrontational. He basically told me what I wanted to order was not possible – meanwhile we ordered it the last time we went there!! “Not here pal” is what he actually said!! So guess what—- “I’m not eating ever again pal! Not the only game in town! Unless you like abuse, skip this place.

Last night I placed a 95$ order that ended up getting delivered an hour and 45 minutes after I called it in. After being hurried off the phone twice saying the driver was almost at my house I checked the order and found 6 items missing. I called back in to get the order corrected and asked for a partial refund due to the inconvenience. The person on the phone immediately became hostile and told me that he was going to have a driver come back to my house and pick up all the food he just dropped off. Lost a valued customer of around 30 years.

So the min delivery is 12. I called and asked for delivery and repeat my address 5 times Because the owner doesn’t believe it exist in wallingford and is only 3 miles away. I ordered chicken w garic sauce and chicken wings app. The owner goes ‘its 10mins away, You need to order more’ i asked how more I need. He hang out the phone. Rude and bad attitude!
