I’m Autistic and I always order the grilled cheese with gumbo. The last 3 times I have eaten here over the last 8 months, I get charred grilled cheese instead of grilled. $3.00-4.00 for a grilled cheese is already pricey and being on disability I don’t get to treat myself very often so this is very disappointing.
***I was brave (being autistic i don’t like confrontation or speaking up for myself) and asked for a replacement, a lightly grilled cheese, in spite of seeing the cook launch it through the air and say whoops. Tasted like it had salt and pepper on it. I hate my autism but was hungry and ended up eating it anyway.

Gold Post is one of those places you can count on. I usually get the grilled chicken club, and it’s been consistently great—the chicken is always cooked perfectly, the sandwich is hot, and the cheese is melted just right.

My first time coming here and I can’t wait to go back. The food was excellent. The tables were extremely clean and the service was exemplary. I got the chicken club and it was so delicious and made fresh. We also got an order of the cheese sticks and they were some of the best I have had in a very long time.

We found this place on our way through town, and are so glad we stopped here instead of some chain place.ove the fact that they’ve been here for decades, it let’s you know that the locals must like it. I had the cheeseburger and my wife had the grilled chicken salad. Both were very good. Fast (FAST) friendly service to boot. We will definitely be back!

For some reason this place is great. The interior recently got a nice and needed face lift, the food is pretty good. The gumbo is ON POINT!! The service is up and down though. You’ll either get a nice happy gal or grumpy one who doesn’t like people. Either way I still come back and enjoy every bit of Gold Post!!

Quiet little sandwich shot that serves up some phenomenal sandwiches. The bread is soft like Wonder bread but not mushy and the food was fried to perfection. The fries were nothing earth shattering.
