Really disappointing lunch buffet. The naan was paper thin and felt stale. I had to keep asking staff to refill multiple dishes, which shouldn’t happen when I arrived right at 12pm and the buffet runs until 2:30pm. Guests shouldn’t have to chase down basic service during peak hours. The food quality didn’t justify the $16 price at all. I won’t be back.

I recently visited Golconda Nawab and had their chili fish along with fried rice and noodles — and it was absolutely fantastic! The flavors were amazing, and honestly, I have never tasted anything like this before in Detroit. Every dish was perfectly cooked, fresh, and full of authentic taste. ✨
The restaurant owner was personally there, and he was very nice, polite, and welcoming. The customer service was excellent, which made the whole experience even more special.
Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you are in Detroit and love delicious food, this place is a must-try! I will definitely be coming back again! ️

The only redeeming part of this meal was the polite and attentive server—unfortunately, he was the lone bright spot in an otherwise dreadful experience. The butter chicken was a disaster: watery, bland, and completely devoid of flavor—more like spiced soup than a curry. The paneer dish? An unrecognizable fusion mess that tasted more like bad Chinese takeout than Indian cuisine. It’s hard to imagine how a kitchen can get both texture and taste this wrong. If you’re craving real Indian food, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Wow. I used to live in Dearborn so I recall various restaurants in this spot over the years. Not sure if owners have ever changed but I went back today and what a difference. The food was totally excellent. Hyderabadi chef and the chicken dum biryani was excellent, bone in and the chicken was moist, tender and not at all dry. Mirapai kodi appetizer is 10/10.! ordered it “Indian level spicy” and it was perfect. Gobi sambar rice bowl has a great flavor in the sambar, I was really happy. It’s a great comfort food.
If I could recommend anything it’s that app mirapai kodi (chicken) app “Indian spicy” level. Edit: I also ordered mirapai kodi biryani a different day since writing this, also recommend.

I ordered a chicken appetizer, and after taking the order, they called to say it wasn’t available. They said they would replace it with Chicken 65, but they ended up giving me something else. I even double-checked with the girl at the front desk, but it was still wrong. The food quantity was very less for the price we paid. Really disappointed with the service and quality.

Went to their lunch buffet. Had a good mix of veg and non veg options. But the amount of food in each tray at buffet counter is less. if 2 to 3 people go around the buffet spread, most trays will be empty. There were about 8 people already before our group of 4 went in. It was 12:45 pm and not like super late for buffet. Many times we had to ask for a refill on items in the spread and wait. Most items in buffet were pretty below average – biryani rice was dry, masala chai had strong condensed milk in it and no masala at all. Channa masala was cold and didnt taste fresh. There was pani puri but nothing to fill it with, like potatoes or chickpeas or other chat items. When asked about this, I was told to fill the channa masala which was already bad. (I skipped it) Fried chicken in the appetizer section had small and tiny bones which break your teeth, there should be a note on this item so people can be careful. And all of this sub optimal food is at a premium price – 16 for adults and 14 for kids. To top off all my frustration, I had a 4 year old in my group who barely ate anything and I paid 14 for that 4 year old too. What a waste? Definitely DO NOT recommend, go find yourself another Indian place

The proportions of the food is so small like for a baby. I ordered 4 meals and none of them were enough. Also we ordered and paid for 3 naan and only received one. The service is ok but management needs to be better

Food was absolutely out of this world. I decided to try something new on door dash and seen this restaurant in alternative category. This was one of the best choices I’ve made!! The food is absolutely out of this world, flavors are powerful and satisfying. They also give you a lot of protein and are honest with the portions! I honestly would say this is some of the best food I ever ate. I mean I had a little bit of everything, naan, chicken tikka masala, samosas, andhra chicken curry, chicken biryani a butter chicken rice bowl. I kid you not everything was 10/10. This place will be a reoccurring spot for me and my family for sure. I recommend this spot for sure!

We ordered Potlam Egg Pulav, which was excellent and definitely the highlight of our meal. However, the rest of the dishes – Paneer 555, Gobi Majestic, and Veg Dum Biryani – were quite underwhelming in terms of taste and flavor. Considering that the prices here are a bit higher compared to other restaurants in the area, there is definitely room for improvement in taste and overall quality.

The Goat dish my friend ordered for lunch was going to take way to long for lunch so he ordered chicken Salad, I had chicken vindaloo and an app.
Service was good but waited on check for to long.. Needed to get back to work.
QR menu needs descriptions and possibly pics as this is basically the only menus
It was freezing in there but it was just after they opened so maybe that was the issue.
Besides that the place is beautiful inside.
Need to expand their music selection because I believe the same song was on repeat the whole time
