I ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen added tofu, and a Honey Moon Roll. I think my total was $39 after a tip. First time eating here, it was delicious! They were actually so helpful and I can’t wait to come back. The reviews made me scared but I enjoyed it all!

EDIT: Met the owner and she was very nice. Doesn’t mind if you bring your own water (I did the time after) if you are one of the people who falls in the same mindset as me haha. *Everything after this point was my original comment*

I very rarely make comments on these sorts of things but I think it’s super important that this one is said/read (constructive criticism) because I want this place to stick around long term.

The main thing is if you get water here, they give you bottled water and you get charged for it- I thought the first time might be a fluke but I came back and very specifically told them I want tap/filtered water with ice. They still gave me bottled water so it may be something that is forced.

If I had to guess, I’d imagine at least 50% of your customer base will get water and the overwhelming majority of these people are not expecting/wanting to pay for it (I’ve never been charged for water at any other place I’ve been to).

I think you need to adjust this/offer standard tap/filtered water as soon as possible- I’m sure plenty of other people feel the same way but just didn’t/don’t say anything.

Secondly, the food tasted pretty good but the “lunch” portion (got a bento box) was the smallest I’ve had at any restaurants that fall in the same category as this one. So portion sizes could be improved. I’m really rating the portion rather than the taste.

Dinner portion was more acceptable/in line with competitors for $2 more.

I think where this restaurant is located is fantastic (and I do really like the atmosphere) but they need to adjust the things I mentioned before I’d come back again (went twice to make a firm assessment).

I was actually curious about this place and wondering where all the negative reviews came from. After experiencing it myself, all I see is a family trying to run their own restaurant and doing their best.

I have been competing as a professional chef for years and years, going internationally and went throughout the nation trying ramen spots like these regardless of the rating and reviews and its Michelin stars.

Wontons were great, hibachi steak plate was fine but needed a little tlc on the cooking time of the meal, the sushi was fresh and clean, the restaurant was spotless. But one thing that threw everything off is the reviews of other people’s experience of this place.

They do need to work on proper restaurant etiquette but training will help them for sure.

Don’t let Rancid comments affect you from trying out new places like this. Food does need work but not all places are perfect and it takes time for a restaurant to grow.

Constructive cristism will help the chefs grow to become better and food will come out tasty with time.

Overall I gave this place a solid 8/10. Great stuff! And keep doing better at what you made for your restaurant to become a staple to Hazel Green community.

The best part was the atmosphere. Was very clean. Waited 30 minutes on food when my wife and I were the only 2 in restaurant. Food came out ice cold. Had to walk up to counter and request new chicken. Pretty sure it was just microwaved as it was warmer but bone dry. Will not be back. 2/23/26 11:30am

We went on their first day being open. And yes they have some kinks to work out. But the sushi and steak fried rice was good. We will definitely be back. Atmosphere was really cool.
