Ultimate destination for Indian food..
Loved their dinner buffet. Lots of different items in all categories- appetizers, deserts, main course..
It’s a 100% vegetarian restaurant, so without any hesitation and doubts vegetarians can enjoy the food here. Ambience is really nice and price wise also it’s a reasonable place to go.

Best Indian in the loop and it’s Vegan! I’m not even close to being vegan, but we stopped by here on a whim and it did not disappoint. The buffet had a great variety of food and it was all delicious. The staff was very friendly and answered our questions with no hesitation.

All vegan lunch buffet was a real hit for me! Pleasantly greet upon entry and seated without delay. Buffet items were fresh, flavorful and VEGAN. Ranged from masala to fruit, soups, grits, beans, cabbage, roasted vegetables, naan of course and much more. Small price to pay for $12

The location at which the restaurant was located was quite good. The ambiance was amazing, so we were impressed. They had the buffet available for dinner which should have warned us about the taste. My husband apprehensive asked to look at the menu. 40% of the menu was at the buffet table, so we went ahead with the buffet option. They had a chat bar which was great but the taste was terrible. The puffed rice had gone hard which was difficult to eat. The naan, even though, looked freshly made, didn’t look hot and were crisp instead of soft. A little butter could have helped, but then they would have probably charged more. The bature for the chole looked very oily and even my son (who loves fried food) couldn’t keep it down. The vegetable korma was the only entree that was tasty. The aloo matar and the dal were completely bland and under seasoned. The Pav bhaji was such a huge disappointment that my hope in the rest of the food items disappeared. The masala rice had shriveled up and just impossible to eat. I didn’t even have the dessert as they looked watery- both the kheer and rice pudding. When I mean watery I don’t mean milky but watery. The milk looked watered down to make both the sweets.
Wish we could have gone somewhere else as it wasn’t stomach filling at all.

Really good veggie and vegan options, lots of gluten free too. I love the buffet, which they serve for lunch and dinner!
My one complaint is that sometimes the rice is dry and some of the buffet dishes could be warmer, but I still love it!!

Their buffet is a must try and totally worth the price!! Gokul is the best vegetarian restaurant in STL. The food is great, specially the chaat and samosa’s are the best you can get in town!

We all got food poisoning and it ruined my friend’s birthday . I had dinner with my partner and friends here recently and we all got extremely sick. My partner and I had to stop on the way home so we could both vomit and had stomach problems for days. My friends who ate with us also had extreme diarrhea that lasted days. Maybe it was the buffet food that had obviously been sitting out for a long time or maybe it was the room temperature lassi. I should have known better than to eat here when I saw the state of the place. It ruined my friends birthday dinner.
