The food was excellent. We had the AYCE C option. Iduvina provided outstanding service- she was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of despite how busy the restaurant was. The hostess and busser were also amazing. The atmosphere was enjoyable, and everything ran smoothly. This was our first visit, and it was a great experience overall.

Gogi is a great addition to Anchorage, offering a modern, open, and clean space with a menu that covers all the Korean BBQ essentials. Parking is limited, but manageable with street options nearby. The banchan is a standout, both generous and high-quality, easily among the better offerings in town.

Service is where things still lag. Even with larger groups, protein orders are limited to small batches, slowing the meal down, and issues like delayed refills, incomplete table setups, and slow bussing have been consistent across visits. The staff is friendly and clearly trying, but consistency is still needed.

It’s also on the pricey side, even by Anchorage standards, so come prepared. Despite the hiccups, Gogi remains my go-to spot when the Korean BBQ craving hits (especially since they have Pork Jowl!).

Gogi offered an exceptional experience. Their staff was kind and efficient. Our waiter was very attentive and always willing to help us/answer questions.

The food was delicious. We ordered the KBBQ lunch special for two. We felt there was more than enough meat for the two of us. The lunch special special was only supposed to come with 6 ban chan dishes, but we received 8 which was a pleasant surprise.

We each ordered a specialty cocktail. They were delicious but ludicrously priced. I paid $20 for a Korean fusion Mai Tai, while tasty, I found the value here to be lacking.

We were a group of 6 for the all you can eat BBQ for a birthday celebration. $400 with no alcohol. Service was attentive and friendly, always refilled our banchan and meat promptly. Something was wonky with the ordering. Our side dishes kept getting taken to other tables, so they kept having to reorder….we never got 2 of the side dishes we ordered. Unfortunately when we got our bill we were charged for multiple that we never got ( like 5). Also, in our last meat order, we found some hair….I understand that things happen and they were gracious about replacing it.
The staff sang happy birthday and gave a free slice of cake! Over all it was a good experience, though there were only 6 different banchan, which is a lot less compared to other similar restaurants i have been to….and they weren’t anything memorable. Maybe they are just getting used to the AYCE service. Most likely will give them another try next summer.

Friday evening, the house was full, but not noisy. We were seated promptly. My wife and I shared an appetizer roll made of kimchee, bulgogi, and 5-cheese. It was a curious combination, but worked! The galbi soup was spot on. Topped it off with a raspberry creme brulee that was very nice. The best part of the experience was Celeste, she made us feel like we were guests in her home.

I finally tried Gogi out with a friend today, and it blew my mind! The decor was amazing, the drinks were so good, and the food was unmatched! The highlight was definitely my server, Destiny! She’s so sweet, super attentive and helpful, and she deserves the utmost respect (and huge tips if you visit and she ends up as your server). Would rate higher than 5 stars if I could!!

Omg! Such an amazing spot- food was superb. We ordered the AYCE B and we severely underestimated portion size, HUGE amounts of meat and amazing quality. Service was FANTASTIC!!! Iduvina, Celeste, and Aero are just so amazing. They all were extremely helpful, patient with our first time, and so sweet. I definitely felt cared for and welcomed and will be coming back again very soon. If you’re looking for a high quality KBBQ and don’t mind splurging a little, I HIGHLY recommend Gogi.

Gogi was my number one go to place every time i come to Anchorage. First of all server was terrible. She didnt know what she’s doing. I was asking her something and she just keep walking away. Pork Galbi used to be thick cut meat. But somehow it was super thin. I asked her why. And she said idk and walk away. I guess now you using cheap quality meat for all u can eat. I wish i knew before i order. It said all u can eat. Servers are ignore our bell or call. We couldnt eat enough food or banchan even drink. We just sat there watch the grill getting burn for 20 mins to get next meat.
It was not only us. Other table had same problem.
Hire more server. Or quit doing the all u can eat.

Now this restaurant is a big disappointment. As a korean American that has been to a lot of KBBQ this is the worst. Cutting corners where it matters. AYCE, the meat slices were so thin that when you try to cook to shriveled up to just a nibble. It’s not even worth the price they charge. The spicy seasoning is so gross, it’s just red sauce drizzled on, no marinating at all. The meat is so thin it can’t hold the sauce. When you try to cook it it shrivels up so much you can’t taste it. During the lunch rush it should be busy but nope the restaurant is 2/3rd empty.
Such a waste of money.

I dined at Gogi Korean BBQ, a recent addition to Anchorage’s culinary scene. The restaurant successfully delivers on all the key elements of Korean BBQ—high-quality meats, fresh accompaniments, attentive service, and an atmosphere that strikes a comfortable balance between lively and intimate. The ingredients were fresh, with a notable attention to detail across both presentation and preparation. The staff exhibited both warmth and professionalism throughout the meal. The only notable drawback was pricing. While the experience felt upscale, the cost of BBQ meats and regular menu items positioned Gogi firmly in the “special occasion” category, rather than somewhere locals might frequent regularly. Nevertheless, its culinary execution may well grant it longevity in the Anchorage dining scene. A confident 9/10.
