Visited Goen to meet a friend and had a great experience. The space is open, big, and really inviting. A nice place to hang out and catch up. We ordered the beef with mashed potatoes, some sushi, and the fish and chips. Everything tasted good and came out nicely prepared.
We also had a few drinks, and the overall vibe was relaxed and comfortable. There’s parking available, and we didn’t have to wait for a table, which made it even better. Solid spot for a casual meal, drinks, and good conversation. Would return.

Love the open air, laid back atmosphere & Food was excellent. Filet Mignon with truffle was so soft & flavors went well. They also were able to switch out the mashed potatoes for the polenta which was so creamy. It might have been busy when I went so service was a little slow, but their servers are awesome & friendly. Highly Recommend

We had an excellent experience here! Both my husband and I agreed it was the best meal out we’ve had in ages! The cocktails were also made perfectly. The staff was friendly and attentive. I especially loved the musician and that the music was clear but not blaring. We will def be returning, esp on Tues with that specific musician. I apologize I didn’t get his name to give him proper credit.

You need to sit at the bar and order with Amy. This woman is the best bartender I have ever experienced. Top notch service. She would literally have a drink in front of you the moment you finished one. (She would ask if you would want another prior)

We’ve been to Goen a few times and the food and service has always been great. Recently we hosted our bridal shower there for 25 people and the Goen staff really went above and beyond. They brought out custom menus, and decked out the place with white linens and chairs. They really made it feel like an Event! Thanks so much to the Goen staff for making our day feel special.

Actually came to listen to Shane Kainoa play. The manager saw our request for a good table to listen. Joked if that was the reason reason why we came. Kind of was. Haven’t been to a Roy’s in awhile. Goen was a pleasant surprise. More modern dishes. Korean chicken wings were finger licking good. Good balance of spicy. Sushi rolls were great. Less formal than some of Roy’s other outlets. Enjoyed the fun, relaxed environment. Service was friendly and efficient. Tyler our server was helpful with drink and food suggestions. Nice outing. Will be back.

Wonderful spot for a nice dinner in Kailua! Food is always so fresh and tasty. Highly recommend the brussels sprouts appetizer and the misoyaki butterfish. Very few vegetarian options but many dishes can be made without meat. Nice airy outdoor seating area. For dessert, the halo halo is sooooo good!!

Excellent food. Ate here 3x on a week vacation. The Japanese pasta dish is Excellent. Burger at lunch only was perfect. The apps we tried were 5 star, the eggplant, the tuna tataki, the hamachi. Music a tad too loud was only negative.
