My husband and I were first timers tonight and the food did not disappoint. Everything was cooked well and tasted delicious. Staff stood out to me because everyone from the wonderful hostess at the entrance to our waitress (Ms. Summer) and staff observing the dining room, were so nice and very attentive to us. Great experience.

Absolutely loved it ! This was me and my bf first time trying and everything was amazing . Our server was attentive and she let us which items were the top sellers and recommended things. The food was delicious, the best soul food I’ve had. The wait time was not long and the place was not crowded. The serving sizes were great for the price and everything was good.

The food is great, the people were pleasant and the portions are very fair. I enjoyed the cajun turkey wings with rice & peas, mixed greens and one of the best made cornbread. It was so it melts in your mouth. I’ll have to stop by next time I’m in the area. I’m looking forward to trying their oxtails.

The food was amazing, the staff is so sweet, the service is great…great atmosphere. I just love the ocean themed interior decoration. There’s plenty of seating and the inside and outside of restaurant is spacious. There’s plenty of parking and the restaurant is handicap accessible. I visited this restaurant and posed as a homeless person and not once did they treat me with disrespect. They greeted me like they would greet a millionaire. I’m impressed. I don’t know what else to say. This place and its staff is just wonderful. This restaurant is close to heaven.

Food was delicious and served hot and fresh. Our server was friendly and very helpful at suggesting dishes and drinks to try. We had the Pick 3 appetizer, spicy pina colada ribs, jerk catfish, mac and cheese, greens, yams over cornbread. Every bit of it was delicious! The portions of food are very generous and well worth the price. For drinks we had the Bob Marley and a special drink was prepared by the bartender, strong and delicious. We went for lunch, right at opening time. There wasn’t a wait for seating. Overall the restaurant has a nice ambience, giving Caribbean vibes, with great food and drinks! We will be returning soon!

The portions of food given are good for the price. The service is AWFUL, from the manager that assisted my party at the entrance down to our waiter. Our waiter got our drink order, followed by our food order. After he brought the drinks back to the table, we didn’t see him again for over an hour. Our meals were served by others. The wait time for our meal was about 45 minutes, but no one checked on our table during that wait. Then, the food arrives but I did not have the bread that came with my meal. When did I get the bread? With my takeout plate that I got to pack my leftovers. The bread was cold with thick cold butter spread over the top. I took someone to the restaurant to celebrate their birthday, but they didn’t receive their meal until we were leaving. The seafood boil was brought out in a foil pan with the foil lid on it. Our first and last visit here. Definitely do not recommend this restaurant. I give 3 stars cause the atmosphere and musician are the staples.

We really enjoyed our experience at Godfeey’s. The atmosphere was phenomenal. The service was good, but the food lived up to its word. We ordered the pasta with the wine and bourbon Alfredo. I wanted to pour that sauce on everything I eat from now own. The wings were huge and tasty. The ox tails were a little tough, but the greens, sweet potatoes, and cornbread were awesome!

Looking for somewhere to have a late lunch, we happened to pass by Godfrey’s and decided to stop. This was our first time patronizing Godfrey’s. My husband and I enjoyed every bite. I tried the pick 3 so I could sample a little bit of what they had to offer. It DID NOT disappoint. My husband had the jerk chicken, mac/cheese, sweet potatoes, and cornbread. He was pleasantly pleased too. Our waitress was helpful as well as attentive. We visited on a day where the temp was 107° but the restaurant was very nice and cool we didn’t even notice how hot it was outside. Clean restroom and Great atmosphere! We will MOST CERTAINLY visit again.

Great food! They’ve really got something going with the vibes in this place. Just wish the wait staff was a little more cognizant of their tables in order to prevent the customer from having to ask…refills, straws, rest-of-the-order. But overall, we’d definitely go back!

Food in my honest opinion is overrated. Most of the vegetables has sugar in it. The Mac and cheese is store bought from Sam’s or Costco and heated in a microwave and they add shredded cheese on top that isn’t even melted. They do however give you large portions of the food for the price so no complaints there. This is just my opinion and what my taste buds like. Many love sweet vegetables and store bought food. Oh the Oxtails were on point!!!
