We were in town for show at bridge view. Debating which sports bar to watch the hawkeye game pre show. Very glad we picked this one! Food was above average bar Food. Service was excellent. Seemed like there were only 3 young ladies running the bar and tables that day and they kept up beautifully! Atmosphere is typical bar and grill but comfortable and plenty of tvs. I said above average bar food and I mean that as a compliment. Almost all sports bars do typical bar food but few are good much less above average. If you’re Debating which one. Like I was. I’d pick this one again and again!

From screaming children to loud and rude intoxicated adults this place is definitely NOT a sit down restaurant. The food is fine, no problems with the food but if you’re eating inside be prepared to get a migraine. ALSO the wait time is ridiculous I might as well watch a movie while I wait.

Ordered two salads to go. The steak on my salad was way past well done and I ordered it medium rare. It was chewy and cold. Bummer. It’s always hit and miss it seems. Ranch was good.

Had a Cobb salad and requested regular cheese instead of Bleu, cucumbers, and avocado. Needless to say it was made to perfection. Friend had a ribeye sandwich and said it was perfect and ordered the same thing the next day for lunch. I had the B.L.A.T. we were from out of town and this place felt like home. Staff was super friendly. Service and atmosphere was great. Only con about his place is if you go for lunch expect to he there for the entire hour if it’s busy. I still give it 5 stars. Great place to eat in Ottumwa.

My daughter and her husband it was her anniversary. They came down to visit. We went out to eat at Godfrey’s. He got a fish tacos. It was cold. I got a salad that looked like it’s was wilted smelled funny so I didn’t eat my salad. he didn’t eat his taco And Well, the disappointment to that restaurant they should do better in surfing quality food because that’s getting people not to come back if you want people to come to your restaurant and serve quality food or hire somebody that will do better cooking. That salad was horrible. and finding hair in your food is not the greatest in either either pull your hair back or put a net on your hair so there’s not no hair in the food.

This is a great place to eat. Always good food very consistent… Pretzel bites are awesome!!!…. We get them every time we come in. Today I had Philly steak sandwich with phenomenal fries were perfect. This is a great place to eat. Servers always have a smile on their face. Food runner was great!

Ordered a smothered burrito for my wife and asked for no meat. Yet they failed to mention there was bacon in the black beans until after I had paid for our food. Then refused to refund me for the incorrect food. I will be contacting management tomorrow for sure.

Update: Fish tacos are still fantastic, cheese nuggets are incredible and my kids talked all the way home about how good the wings and burger were. Staff was perfect in every way (we sat at the last available table when we arrived). Short wait for food, refills prompt, food was excellent. It’s clear they care about the quality they serve and thier customers experience. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
