This is one of my favorite places to grab breakfast and lunch! The coffee is always a great roast. I especially love the banana foster French toast. All the pastries are amazing too. The atmosphere is so relaxed. There’s a regular coffee shop feel on the first floor near the entrance, an outdoor area for when it’s warm, and a reserved seating area on the second floor. The service and staff are fantastic. Just a heads-up, the staff seem to change often, so you might not see your favorite people all year round.

We had a great experience at this coffee shop. The service was very good and the customer care was excellent. Adrián assisted us, and he is truly such a kind and lovely person — very helpful and genuinely friendly. He calmly explained the different flavors the coffee shop offers, maintained eye contact, and made us feel welcomed the entire time.

The croissant was delicious — crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. The iced latte was very good as well. If I had to mention one small detail, I would say the espresso shot could have been a bit stronger, but that really comes down to personal preference.

Overall, we would definitely come back again!

Three out of 4 dishes were delicious and well-balanced.

Pork Chimichurrri was salty and oily.

Service was slow in the beginning. No attendant really proactivelyshowing our table. But once we ordered, the food came fast.

For the prices we paid, restaurant has big potential to be improved.

Godfrey’s in Falls Church is a beautiful hotel venue with a relaxed open-air patio, and Friday nights here are simply special. The live jazz band brings a timeless 1940s-50s charm — smooth, soulful, and wonderfully atmospheric.

The ambiance is elegant yet easygoing, with soft lighting, warm hospitality, and a well-curated crowd that appreciates good music and good energy. It’s the perfect way to unwind on a Friday evening — listening to classic jazz under the night sky with great company.

If you’re looking for a classy, comfortable place to enjoy live music, Godfrey’s is a hidden gem in Falls Church. The combination of the outdoor setting, talented musicians, and sophisticated crowd makes it one of the area’s best weekend experiences. ✨

Spacious cafe, high ceiling, big windows with variety of seating, tables for 2-8, sofas, quiet area upstairs. Very busy on a Sunday evening 5pm. I had a cortado and a kouign Amann pastry, my perfect combo. Service was quick, place is well staffed. A few patrons were working on laptops, mostly folks were socializing and enjoying the relaxed warm atmosphere. It is dimly lit in the evening. There is a parking lot behind the cafe/hotel.

They forgot my La Colombe Oat Milk Draft Latter drink order, but it came right after I requested. We had the Godfrey’s Breakfast Croissant and Good Morning Brioche with London Fog tea. The food is great, not amazing. But the atmosphere is really nice and cozy especially with the real wood burning fireplace.

I normally wouldn’t go out of my way to do this, but for people’s health and safety I feel obligated.

I have been coming to this cafe for a couple years now. I have asked different employees regarding allergens in their pastries and desserts and have been told they do not contain gelatin (excluding the items labeled gelatin).

Today, I saw a new pastry and asked if it contained gelatin and since it was new, the employee informed me it wasn’t on the list and she would go and ask the chef. I asked to take a picture of the list which she allowed and noted that many of the desserts I have previously been told do not contain gelatin actually do. One of the items was actually labeled gelatin free on the name tag but listed as containing gelatin. This is very dangerous as it is a misrepresented allergen.

While the other items didn’t explicitly say they were gelatin free, the employees had previously told me they were and some gelatin containing items are labeled as containing it. This would lead anyone to believe that any item not listed as containing gelatin as safe. Additionally, the tiramisu is listed to contain coffee but actually has alcohol in it but not listed in their description, also misleading people. The employee called the manager when I called these items out. He did his best to address my questions however the item labeled as gelatin free that contains gelatin did not have the label removed as a corrective action.

This is literally so dangerous, especially when it is actively misleading everyone regarding its safety. This is so disappointing to see from somewhere that is usually full of muslims, jews, and people with this allergy who are unknowingly eating pork gelatin because they are being mislead.

See photos attached:
Arabica is listed as being gelatin free while the allergen list has it as containing gelatin.
Some of the items containing gelatin are listed as containing it while others are not, leading people to believe they are safe. I only received confirmation that everything except the 2 cheesecakes and the tiramisu (tiramisu does have unlisted alcohol) don’t contain gelatin after the manager went back and discussed with the chef. He also confirmed it is pork gelatin.

The ambiance is great. They offer indoor seating as well as two outdoor options. The place is very clean, and they provide complimentary sparkling and flat water. The outdoor seating is especially nice—one area has a fireplace, and another faces the main road, which gives it a lively atmosphere.

They do offer food options, although I wish they had a few more choices for lunch. You can also see the chefs cooking, which adds a nice touch. The bakery items and cakes are good, though a bit overpriced. However, the coffee and main food items are reasonably priced.I tried the pizza and the burger, and both were good. The food also tasted fresh and clean.

Massive spaces here which are very tastefully appointed. You have many multiple options, inside and outside – front and back. The front outside and inside are causal, order from the counter and they’ll deliver. Out back they have table service. The back section looks the nicest and doesn’t have the street traffic noise.

They food and coffee were very good. I think I was simply struck by the feel and vibe of the place. It’s very well done.

Lots of parking in the back, but it does fill up!
