Chain eatery specializing in thick-crust pizzas, also offering sides & desserts.

Went here about two weeks ago for our first time. The Old Chicago closed right down the street so we thought we would try a new spot. Although Ivan the new owner was very friendly and recommended a fantastic local beer, the pizza was not the best. Very little flavor, crust was soft, pretty greasy, reminded me Bad Daddy’s pizza which is another 1/2 star joint. Plus the prices were way too high for the quality. Dominos offers two larges for the same price. Highly recommend a 8 minute drive to Perry’s Pizzeria.

This is our second time coming here. The first time we ordered the Super Taco. On the website the ingredients are Taco sauce, Beef, Black Olives, Lettuce, Onions, Tomatoes, Sour Cream, Cheddar & Mozzarella Cheese, Extra Cheddar. We placed the order around 2:00 pm. Online you have the ability to have the cold toppings on the side which we selected. When we got home they had placed the cold ingredients on top of the pizza then scraped them off. They used pizza sauce instead of the taco sauce that is listed as an ingredient on the site. Also, no onions, black olives or sour cream. We called at 2:45 to speak to a manager but was told there was no one available until 9pm. I’m really surprised that making pizza is so difficult for some people. Following very basic instructions apparently is a real challenge at this pizza joint. Maybe having a capable manager and employee could provide a real positive experience for this restaurant. The total was $43.24 for a large. We wouldn’t mind this outrageous price if only they could prepare the order correctly. Also, I can’t imagine that they would need to memorize what ingredients go on a particular pizza. I would believe that they are posted inside their kitchen. I would also think reading an order wouldn’t prove to be that difficult but apparently it is.

Pizza, potato wedges, chicken wings. ALL HORRIBLE. The pizza had no flavor, dry. The crust looked under cooked, no color, no flavor, tasted like plain white bread. Toppings were basic, minimal. The Potato wedges were very disappointing. Only a hand full, like 9 flat pieces with a ranch container that looked used from someone’s table (gross) not even half full. We didn’t touch it. Looked and tasted like tomorrow’s left overs. The chicken wings were slimy like straight from a microwave bag. Couldn’t even get a grip. Slimy texture. Not worth the $85 I spent. My family took 2 bites and were done! It gave my daughter stomach problems.
I only saw one cook in the kitchen. Skinny blonde kid with tattoos on his face and looked very confused.
Godfather restaurants are not all the same. The one in Cheyenne Wyoming is excellent, was expecting the same quality while driving an hour and a half to Thornton to pick up and take home… never again.

Haven’t even seen a Godfathers Pizza in decades… Learned there was one on Thornton, so I Beelined it there…
The location was accessible, no issues. The entierior was simple and adequate for what it was…
The help was really nothing to brag about…
The Pizza was decent BUT I WASN’T EXPECTING THE HIGH PRICE. WE GOT A LARGE SPECIALITY PIZZA WITH ONE EXTRA TOPPING… IT COST ME $40 BUCKS AND I HAD NON LEFT FOR BREAKFAST…
FOR $40 I COULD HAVE GOTTEN 2 XL crappy pizzas and still had BREAKFAST…
Maybe I just don’t understand but I definitely would NOT HAVE PAID $40 AT PIZZA HUT, DOMINO’S, LITTLE CEASERS, OR EVEN BLACKJACK FOR 1 LARGE PIZZA…
SEE PICTURE JUST A NORMAL PIZZA.
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS??? PLEASE LET ME KNOW??? AM I just out of touch??? Would Love some feedback…

This is a 30-day follow up review. We returned after a somewhat poor experience last month to give it an another try.
We went on a Saturday early lunch hour. Pizza was far better than last time—up to standard. It was what you’d want —and expect for what you pay—for a Godfather’s pizza. Dining area was clean and neat. Menu e-boards were all working this time as well. Overall more positive atmosphere when the place is being attended to and appears managed.
We appreciated the improved focus this time on food quality and consistency. Visible marketing of specials and in-store deals (on the app, social media and on a couple windows too maybe) would be helpful.

It was a lot lot better this time around than the last time. So glad it went to new ownership. I got the humble pie the only one I ever get. Thinking cooking a little longer just by a couple extra minutes. Well well this time 7/20/25. They’ve done some big big changes. They’ve decided to remove tables to add games. Tables bring in revenue bottom line.. I got a medium pizza with a extra slice which was cold cause they forgot to turn on the warmer. The restaurant seems to be clean never used the bathrooms.

Midwest nostalgia! I grew up with Godfathers pizza in Illinois. It was always a treat for us kids! This Godfathers brought me back to those fond memories from the attentive and friendly staff, great tasting Taco Piza, and 80s style arcade video games and pinball machine. We will definitely patronize this establishment again!

This new management is a complete joke. I’ve been coming to this location for well over 15 years. And it used to be my favorite spot. But unfortunately, the quality of service and food has gone in the toilet. They’ll tell you 15 minutes and it 30 minutes later, your Pizza’s still not ready. DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION.
This place should be condemned.Someone called the health department. It’s too bad when a place that once was good ends up being ruined that because new management does not know how to run a restaurant very sad.

I haven’t had Godfather’s Pizza in years and I was kinda excited I had 90 minutes to kill in Thornton before an appointment. I went inside, the store is completely empty and not very clean. Tables were not bused and the ones that were hadn’t been wiped down. I stood at the counter for at least 10 minutes waiting for someone to come and help me. Finally went to the kitchen door and looked in the window and had to knock before someone seen me. She looked as if she was bothered. Finally, she took my order. $30 for a pizza…are you kidding? But I hadn’t had Godfathers in years so I thought what the heck… treat yourself! I was dining in and they put my pizza in a box instead and didn’t bring me a plate. I had to ask to get one.
As far as the pizza, not very good. It was dry and had very little topping. I ordered extra cheese, no extra cheese. The picture I took looks way better than it tasted. My fond memories of Godfather’s Pizza completely shattered. Next time I’ll order a pizza from Jet’s. So disappointed!
