The manager that was there tonight was amazing and shes the reason this didnt get one star. Didnt fight me and completely understood my complaint. Im making this so hopefully a higher office might see.
The fact that they are now using door dash to do all deliveries is sub par. They left my food on my porch in 20 degree weather for an unknowable amount of time since there was no ding on the doorbell and no knock on the the door. Further, since i ordered on the godfathers app there was no notification that my food was close or even here. That is entirely unacceptable. This complain it not at fault of the store as the manager made it right was super kind and polite and understood my issue and explained what was going on. I will not be ordering delivery until this issue is resolved. Thank you for reading!
Today was the worst experience yet. My daughter got a coupon for a free medium pizza from school for being “student of the month”. The coupon clearly stated “dine in or carry-out”, so I ordered online and said I’d pay at the store (with the coupon).
At the store, the staff-member argued with me that their POS system wasn’t set up to handle this and they couldn’t honor the coupon. I told him they needed to figure something out because I had a valid coupon and had not paid yet. He started lecturing me about the intricacies of their POS system before finally relenting. He said he would “let it slide this one time, but not again because these coupons are only for in-store use”….even though it clearly states “dine-in or *carryout*”. Then it turned into “well….you need to call in your order next time.” (again, not mentioned on the coupon anywhere).
After all that nonsense – we find out they hadn’t even started making the pizza yet! It was due at 1:07 and we didn’t get our pizza till 1:32 – 25 minutes late! He did upgrade it to a large and gave my daughter a free fountain drink, but I’d rather have my time back.
Here’s what should have happened – accept the coupon without argument and politely explain why it’s easier on the staff to call in the order. You shouldn’t be agitating and arguing with your customers (who don’t know/care how your POS system works). This was an absolutely ridiculous interaction and I won’t ever return as a paying customer. Unfortunately, our schools coupons are only valid at this location, but I will be sure to never order anything beyond the freebie!
Alan made us feel truly welcome and took great care of us throughout our visit. This was exactly the kind of interaction you hope your children get to witness—one that shows how we should treat others and how we should show up in our day-to-day lives.
Alan made a meaningful difference in our day and set a standard for customer service that deserves recognition. I sincerely hope he receives a raise or additional acknowledgment, as his attitude and care reflect the very best of what customer service should be.
The family that was paying when I arrived just now got their food. Which means my food didn’t even go into the oven until after I arrived and ordered at 5:42
Would not recommend.
In my experience, the service here is not good. I have ordered here twice. The first time the clerk at the front counter ignored me and other customers for several minutes while we were standing directly in front of the register ready to order. She was on her phone and walked back and forth from the front to the back without doing anything. The second time, I was very rudely spoken to after asking a question about the menu.
Like I said, the food tastes great but the process of getting it is awful.
