About 3 months ago I was jonesing for a good cheeseburger. Drove down from Rainier. I could see they had a group going in the back, but the tavern itself was basically empty. I was immediately greeted by a very friendly patron. Sadly, however the bartender was deep in discussion with what I can only assume was another patron and didn’t look my way. I stood about 10 feet to her right, still no recognition. I picked up a menu and made my choice, but the bartender continued her discussion about someone going/moving to Alaska? I cleared my throat once and still no recognition. After standing there for 5 minutes I left.

Fun little place! There are slots in the back section behind some curtains for privacy, it has several board games, darts, pinball machine, juke box, pool table, and a spacious backyard with corn hole, a ping pong table, a fire pit and tons of seating. So there is always something you can do if you find yourself feeling socially anxious and awkward just like me lol. It has karaoke on some nights and live music sometimes! The vibe of this bar is very homey and you can tell that this place is ran with love and a really huge consideration for the customers because it pretty much has everything to keep things fun and the decor is really neat! I will drive from Longview, Wa to Goble Tavern with no problem because honestly the atmosphere and people are so worth it. 🙂

I’ve never been treated as poorly as I was today at Goble tavern. A bar I go to everytime I go fishin, it’s tradition. My sister, myself and my dad went in. Bartender was cooking – we waited patiently and when she appeared she came up to us and asked what we wanted, orded and she rolled her eyes at us… I said, how is your day going? And she replied — it was good until now.
