My Cousin Alison booked my Christmas Day birthday meal at the Goa, a group of 14 at 3pm. We had a fantastic time, we all had meals from the Indian menu, obviously a traditional Turkey meal was available, but when in Rome as they say !!! Our meal was excellent, very good stater options, then a main course from the main menu, with rice and optional sides, all freshly prepared and served in a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere!!! We all thoroughly enjoy our afternoon enhanced by the attentive service we received from the management and staff!!! My family have all ready rebooked for next Christmas, but we look forward to visiting the Goa again when we next visit Leek later in the year!!! Thanks to all at the Goa for a great time , best wishes for the coming year

What a place! We came to Goa on their opening night as their first guests and were given the grand tour. The staff are so friendly, the food is amazing, the atmosphere and ambience is lovely. It’s a refreshing change to go to an Indian restaurant where they have a large selection of mild dishes. I had the Badami passanda and it was the nicest curry I have ever had. We wish the staff the very best with their new restaurant and will definitely be returning. I’ve taken a menu away with me as they do takeaway options. Great place and highly recommend.

Wonderful people and incredible food! We came to celebrate our new home and couldn’t have chosen a better spot.

Wow, what can I say. Perfect from the moment we walked through the door. Poppadoms were light, crispy and the chutney tray was spot-on. Starters were divine. Mains not over facing but fresh flavours, attention to detail and well n truly delicious. ‘T’ our waiter was friendly but not over friendly and very attentive. I can honestly say best food Ive had out for a long time where curry’s and this cuisine is. 100%, please continue as you are. The passion and love screams out. I ordered a takeaway for collection and there was a nice seating area I was pointed to wait at until my food was ready.
The staffing interacted with were very friendly.

Had a great night here with a group of 25. We had the party room all to ourselves which made everything easy. Food came out on time and the staff were friendly and really talkative, kept everything relaxed. Everyone enjoyed their dishes, especially the Rogan Josh and Balti.

Never had a bad meal from here. Both takeaways and Dine in have been great quality. Staff have always been friendly and accommodating. Nice modern decor and not too noisy when you dine in.

We were craving Indian food after a long day of trekking, and since some of our teammates are from Goa, we thought enjoying authentic Goan cuisine would be a treat. The restaurant looked lovely, with both cosy and spacious seating areas — a great first impression.
However, we quickly realised that neither the menu, the serving staff, nor the chef had any real understanding of Goan food or its distinct flavours. We later found out that the owners, staff, and chef were from Bangladesh — nothing wrong with that, as Bangladeshi food can be excellent — but the restaurant’s name and pottenential lure of “Goan cuisine” felt misleading.
Despite the staff assuring us that the chef could deliver on Goan flavours, the food unfortunately fell far below expectations — even by general Indian standards. Dishes were either overly coloured, too spicy, or surprisingly bland.
We left politely after paying, but wanted to share this review so other travellers don’t walk in expecting genuine Goan flavours. The ambiance is nice, but the food experience didn’t live up to what was promised.
