Social Profile:

Goa Indian Farm Kitchen by Hemant Bhagwani is a tribute to the rich Portuguese influence on the Goan culture of India, dating back to the 450 years of Portuguese rule over this state. It’s a culture that is joyous and buzzing, and reflects the region’s stunning cultural diversity today. Come, celebrate the good days, and make the rough ones better, just like the Goans do.

Glass chandeliers set a refined mood in this eatery serving dishes inspired by India’s coast.

Easily one of the best butter chickens I’ve had — perfectly spiced and super flavorful. The chicken biryani was also amazing and came with a yogurt side that surprisingly tasted really good. Garlic naan with chili flakes was fresh and cooked perfectly. We also tried the Lasuni cauliflower starter (first time for me) and it was so good. Portions are HUGE (biryani was a lot ), restaurant was very clean and cozy, and the staff were super friendly with great suggestions. Only downside: fennel seeds in the rice (no option to remove) + my drink tasted a bit off. Prices ~$30–$40. 1000% recommend — try the butter chicken!

A truly surprisingly good Indian food find!

My brother-in-law and I had an unexpectedly delectable lunch of Northern Indian style cuisine inside…..of all places!….Bayview Village, North York!

This unforeseen, relatively new, cozy, pleasant and refined Indian Curry House is located inside one of Toronto’s poshest fashion shopping malls. It offers interesting choices from a compact and fine-tuned Northern Indian focus menu. The food is served in a quiet and relaxing environment.

We had the following:

– Samosa: Nice crispy and crunchy shell with generous, well judged spice level filling. Delightful.
– Goan Prawn Curry: One of my favorite ‘not-overly spiced’ northern style seafood centric curry. Flavourful and balanced creamy sauce using large crunchy tiger prawns. Love their addition of some Okras.
– Lamb Rogan Josh: Again, one of my favourite meat curries, dated back to my days living in London. This version was tasty and acceptable but falling just a touch short of the gorgeous version by ‘ Oh Bombay ‘ on Vogel & 16th Avenue, Richmond Hill.
– Butter and Garlic Naan: This combo was a special request and the result was some nice crispy, chewy and super-aromatic and savory bread.
– Regular saffron infused Pulao rice.

Overall, a rare ‘Indian cuisine find’ in North York! Enjoyable and pleasant dining experience featuring refined, less spicy, Northern Indian style cuisine. Worth keeping on my food journal.

Most importantly, this is NOT Goan food. It is Indian food.

That said, it’s not bad for the Indian food. They don’t serve any authentic Indo-Portuguese dishes but do claim to do so on the menu.

No pork or beef dishes which are a standard part of Indo-Portuguese fare.

The Prawn Balchao for example (a classic staple of Indo-Portuguese cuisine) was just a couple of prawns cooked up in an Indian Tandoori sauce – NOT authentic.

Nice ambience and the server was very polite and helpful but it certainly isn’t Goan cuisine.

A nice cozy restaurant inside Bayview Village shopping centre, extensive menu of all favourite Indian cuisines, featuring $30 prix fixe 3 course lunch menu, fresh garlic naan pipping hot from the tandoori oven, large servings of chicken biryani and Palak Paneer, very aromatic & tasty, helpful and friendly efficient staff.

Went here for dinner 2 weeks ago and it was quite nice!
The lasuni cauliflower and the legendary lamb chops were really yummy! The butter chicken was a little too sweet for my liking, but my friend enjoyed it.
The cherry on top though was the bebinca – I haven’t eaten it in years and it was really good!

Really nice place, the butter chicken was amazing and not to spicy combined with the basmati rice and garlic naan is the perfect trio! Will be back soon!

Amazing ambiance, nice location and absolutely delicious food.

My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the Goan and North Indian cuisine. Being from Mangalore the Goan prawn curry was the perfect blend of flavour and a must try.

We also got the Lasooni Palak paneer, Malai paneer tikka and the naan basket. Special mention to cocktails the Goan mule had this amazing undertone of fresh grater ginger and the Gentleman’s game was perfectly spiced with stat anise.

What more can I say we literally licked the plates clean. Keep up the fantastic work ❤️

What an incredible find. This restaurant was a total surprise in the best way. The flavors were bold yet refined, with thoughtful layering and perfect balance in every bite. You can tell real care went into the seasoning, textures, and presentation—nothing felt rushed or one-note. Each dish was rich, nuanced, and genuinely memorable. This is the kind of place you keep thinking about after the meal. Can’t wait to return.
