Stumbled across this gem of a restaurant after a haircut at the barber shop next door. The owner was extremely friendly and prompt with service. The menu had a good selection to choose from. My partner and I ordered the Super Vegetarian Combo and had more than enough to split between us (we took leftovers home)

Every food item on the platter was delicious and was served on injera, and it came with more injera to eat with your food as well.

There was a sink to wash your hands before eating with them. We also ordered the tea, which was very flavorful.

Amazing for vegans.

Great music and overall vibe in the restaurant. Will be coming here again and spreading the word.

Vegan Valentine’s Day Buffet 10/10 — so so so yummy! We love to come here for birthdays and now we’re coming back for future Valentine’s Day. I’m Gluten Free and my husband is Vegan and we both can eat all the good stuff!

Being a Vegeterian was always little skeptical to try an Ethiopian Cuisine but then was little surprised when we visited Go Jo. The food was super good. We ordered the super vegeterian combo platter and had enough food to serve my family of 5. I was surprised with the flavours. Would definitely recommend to try if you are a vegeterian like me. The owner was super friendly to explain on what are the dishes. The ambience was also pretty cool.

We introduced our adult children to the very awesome Ethiopian cuisine… They loved it just like we do! We ordered the Family Combo along with the Super Vegetarian Combo. Both combos were served on one large platter. We also enjoyed some tea and Ethiopian coffee. All of the dishes and beverages were amazing, flavorful, and absolutely delicious… Highly recommend!

Been coming here every so often since 2019 and every time I come back here I genuinely ask myself why do I always wait so long to return.

I’m from just outside Detroit and I’m half Indian so I love flavors in my food. One of the hardest things for me when moving to Grand Rapids was always finding places that didn’t taste like a watered down ethnic dish, and this place always goes above my expectations. The owners are so nice as well, it always makes me happy to bring people to try.

If you’re looking for a new place, I really think you should check it out and when you’re ordering you can always ask for help with what to try if you’re unsure.

When people ask me what my favorite restaurant is in Grand Rapids, I always say Go Jo.

My absolute favorite place to eat in all of GR! And now they have a veggie all you can eat bar! So, if you love the veggie platter when you get Ethiopian stop here. The couple that owns it are the kindest people, and years ago when I first found them, they answered all my questions about their home, culture and food happily.

My first and last meal of the day. Wherever I work, I do my best to seek out different restaurants I have never tried, and I’m glad I chose to stop at GoJo. The music was so relaxing and the service provided makes you feel like a special guest. The atmosphere is comforting and lets you know that your meal is going to be good. Super happy with my first Ethopian food experience. It was an awesome meal after not having eaten all day.

Great Ethiopian cuisine. The flavors of the vegetarian plate were spot on. Must try the coffee. Will share that they bring incense with the coffee. I loved this combination as it enhanced the flavor with the smell.
