Sooooo disappointed in what used to be a fantastic place to get fresh, delicious donuts. Not sure if it’s under new ownership or maybe staffing issues but the quality of their donuts has fallen off a cliff. As you can see from the pictures the donuts have virtually NO filling inside whatsoever and they’re also VERY dry with a slight burn crisp to them when you bite into them. Perhaps it’s old cooking oil, not really sure but as much as I hate to say this they’re almost inedible. The employees are all nice people and the atmosphere inside seems pleasant as well but considering it’s now $20 for a dozen donuts I can’t recommend this formerly great donut shop

My family has been going to this donut shop for over 15 years. My most recent experience i did not realize I was speaking with the newer owner but she was very friendly and super helpful.
We love the extra large fritters and cinnamon rolls. The bagel sandwiches were amazing previously I have not had them in awhile. We try to get in here as often as possible. The prices are very affordable!!!!

Everybody love go for donuts so I wanted to try myself.
But it’s not for me donuts are too dry for me,i ordered Thursday specials loaded hashed potato and it was too oily and I couldn’t finish it. Maybe I went wrong day bc I know everybody love them.
But stuff is so nice and lovey.

I don’t like sausage but the sausage over medium egg and cheese with everything bagel sandwich my husband ordered was it. It was so good. Their donuts are delicious too. We got the powdered Bavarian and angel cream ones. I also ordered their berrylicous iced espresso with milk and I loved it.

Some places don’t just sell food — they make you feel welcome the moment you walk in. ☕
Stopped by Go For Donuts, and this is exactly the kind of hometown gem seasoned travelers quietly hope to find.
Warm smiles. Friendly staff. No rush, no attitude — just genuine hospitality. The kind where conversations feel easy, coffee tastes better, and you can tell the food is made with care, not shortcuts.
The donuts?
Fresh, classic, and done right. Not flashy. Not overengineered. Just honest comfort food that reminds you why local shops will always beat chains.
What stood out most wasn’t just the donuts — it was the atmosphere. Cozy, welcoming, and familiar, like a place the community actually gathers around.
As someone who’s traveled, eaten in countless places, and learned to recognize quality beyond the plate — this spot earns a genuine recommendation.
If you’re nearby and want good food, good people, and that unmistakable hometown warmth — Go For Donuts is worth the stop.
Local done right.

I absolutely love this place! Whether you want coffee, donuts, an assortment of bagels, sandwich’s, or breakfast platters they have it all. My go to is the Nova Lox & Cream Cheese with a cappuccino. This place is a hidden gem in Dunnellon, everything is made to order and fresh. The ladies are also always sweet and make the experience even better. If you’re ever craving a handmade donut and coffee way above Starbucks quality come here. We will definitely be back soon!

Everything you love about a small town in one donut shop! Fresh, delicious donuts with a huge variety to choose from. Exceptionally low price compared to most these days. Everything from stuffed apple pie to maple bacon. The bagels and breakfast sandwiches are cheap and delicious. Way better than a chain like DD. The ladies here were extremely friendly and I’ve never felt disrespected unlike some reviews here stated. Only downside is the parking lot which can be a bit of a mess. My only regret was not visiting sooner!

First time stopping into Go For Donuts in Dunnellon. We were greeted at the door by a very friendly and helpful person at the counter. She said that they are famous for their apple fritters and that they typically sell out of them by 10am. We bought a good assortment of donuts and of course an apple fritter. The price was very reasonable and everything was very tasty. Well worth the visit, we will definitely be back.

Delicious! Go for Donuts has just been awarded my top spot in my world travels for my fav menu item -a ham, cheese and egg croissant sandwich! They did not skimp on the stuffings either. Bright, cheery place with excellent selection of menu choices to meet your sweet or savory cravings with lovely places to sit and enjoy. Don’t miss a visit here for coffee, breakfast, lunch, or a dessert when in Dunnellon! Friendly service and atmosphere!
