Authentic delicious Cantonese cuisine with quick service! We went as a group of 7 and were so lucky to get a table walking in on a Saturday night. Ordered a lot of dishes and all are served so quickly and fresh. My personal favorite was the chicken soup and all seafood dishes. Also got a portion of roasted pigeon. So tender and juicy. Crab is also fresh and so was the veggies.

This is one of the best seafood restaurants in all of Chicago. A hidden gem in Chinatown worth checking out for fresh seafood cook the old school HK style. I would recommend the razor clams and oyster for seafood. The millionaire rice is heavier but still delicious. The beef and turnips are competitive with any of the other cantonese establishments in Chinatown. All in all, fresh home-style cooking with quick service in a clean corner of Chinatown. 100% recommend!!!

I grew up eating Chinese food all the time, and I can confidently say that Go 4 Food is a true gem among all the restaurants in Chinatown. The dishes here are consistently delicious, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. You can just tell that the owner puts genuine care and pride into every plate served. This is the kind of place where customers are not only well-fed but leave feeling happy and completely satisfied. Highly recommended! I will definitely go back for those razor clams and for the biggest oysters I’ve ever seen!

**⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5**

The name *“Go 4 Food”* isn’t exactly inviting, but we’d heard good things about this place and decided to give it a try. The experience was a bit mixed.

To start with, the signature dishes are surprisingly expensive — $32 for three pieces of crab legs feels steep, especially for a casual spot like this. On the brighter side, the **crab rangoon** was probably one of the best we’ve had in Chicago — perfectly crisp, flavorful, and reasonably priced at $7.95. The **French-style beef tenderloin** was also well-seasoned and delicious, though a bit tougher than expected; I would have preferred a more tender texture.

We also tried a single **garlic vermicelli oyster**, which was tasty but again overpriced at $8.99 each. The last dish, **seafood pan-fried noodles**, came loaded with seafood and had great flavor, but the noodles themselves were thinner and crunchier than we anticipated — likely our misunderstanding of “pan-fried.” Still, the portion and price were fair.

Overall, *Go 4 Food* has some excellent flavors and a few standout dishes, but the pricing and consistency keep it from being a full hit. Worth a try, but manage your expectations.

Go 4 Food is a solid spot for Cantonese flavors. We had the tea-smoked duck, salted egg tofu, and sizzling squid. The duck was especially flavorful with a nice crisp, while the tofu was rich but tasty. The squid arrived sizzling at the table – a true showstopper!. We wished we’d tried more of the fresh seafood dishes, but we’ll reserve those for next visit. Overall, a solid stop for Cantonese flavors in Chinatown.

I grew up in Chicago and have traveled to Hong Kong and China extensively – this place is the closest in freshness and taste to any dishes I’ve had in that region! Their seafood is ALWAYS fresh/live. The options of preparation is precisely the way a Chinese person would order it! They even have the much sought after comfort dish of Preserved Vegetable & Pork Belly. I’ve brought family here who just landed from Guangzhou or Toronto and they’ve praised every. single. dish! (And you know they’re the picky kind of Asians!) The staff is attentive and efficient. The chefs clearly know what they’re doing as they’re handling your live seafood! My favorite item here is their Razor Clams and Coral Shrimp! There is no other place in Chicago or the surroundings that is offering this level of cuisine for the money! Yes, a 3-course live King Crab meal might set you back a few Benjamin’s but LIVE KING CRAB (#IYKYK) Five stars ALL the way!

Dining at Go 4 Food in Chicago’s Chinatown offers a cozy and authentic Chinese fusion experience. The intimate, two-tiered dining room features a modern yet unassuming decor, focusing attention on the vibrant flavors of the dishes. Known for its fresh seafood and inventive takes on traditional Cantonese cuisine, the restaurant has garnered acclaim from local publications and is a favorite among both locals and visitors.

The menu showcases a blend of classic and contemporary offerings, including favorites like French Style Beef Tenderloin, Fusion Chili Crab, and Millionaire Style Fried Rice. For a personalized touch, diners can opt for a prix-fixe menu tailored to their preferences. The BYOB policy adds to the relaxed, budget-friendly atmosphere, making it a popular choice for both casual dinners and special occasions.

While the space is compact, the attentive service and flavorful dishes create a memorable dining experience that captures the essence of Chicago’s rich culinary tapestry.
