The absolute BEST donut shop in Frederick, and it’s VEGAN!
Non vegans can never anticipate or believe how amazingly delicious their donuts are!
Their new location is much larger with more indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of free parking. It’s also adjacent to the Carroll Creek park, and a block from Baker Park, so that you can have a stroll to relax after your meal, or enjoy your food in the park.
We love their totally vegan brunch options. Their specials change every day. Also, if you have specific requests (like gluten free or low carb, etc), they are happy to prepare your food as you like.
We have known the owners since they started making vegan donuts many years ago and selling them at weekend pop up shops. We are so happy that they have been hugely successful in establishing one of the few vegan restaurants in Frederick!
It’s a place that you simply cannot miss when you are in town!
One important pointer…. They make small batches of donuts daily and will often sell out of several varieties, or even everything, before closing time. (They are hugely popular!!)
Be sure to get there early if you want to have all of the choices for donuts, or if you want to buy a dozen or more.

I really enjoyed stopping in to this place! There is a decent amount of seating inside, and some great food options as well. There is a reasonable amount of parking out back. I tried the Passion Fruit Long John, Blueberry Glaze Coconut Canana, chocolate cake, and raspberry donuts! They were fresh and delicious!

Nice small vegan donut shop & diner in downtown Frederick, just a few blocks from the main drag. Had a Friday lunch here and it was not too busy, the service was fast and friendly, and the food was tasty! I had the BBQ Tofu Club, it was HUGE. And the ranch they put on there was the bomb. This place is 100% vegan and 100% on my list of spots to visit again.

What a treat this place was after a trail run. I’m not a big one for sweets but who can resist donuts, especially one with rainbow sprinkles.
The gem of this place is that it’s vegan. Those donuts, vegan. That breakfast sandwich, vegan (eaten by my friend who says it was incredible. And the plated bakers breakfast which I devoured and was absolutely phenomenal.
I can’t wait to go back.

I can’t rave enough about this place. I recommend any flavor of doughnuts, in particular their strawberry shortcake and chai tea frosted one! You would never believe they were vegan. Their food menu is THE BOMB. Their tofu fried egg sandwich was phenomenal. My first dish I tried hooked me, which was their “Huevos Rancheros”. Wow. Their home potatoes are perfection! Well seasoned and not too soft or undercooked. Their staff is so friendly and inviting. Yes, it’s a pretty small place. It’s definitely just a place to grab and go or maybe sit for a few minutes since it has limited seating. I travel all the way from Washington, DC to Frederick, which is a 50 minute drive just to visit Glory!

We were headed to the area to do some hiking so I googled donuts and this place popped up. I’ve tried Vegan donuts before and other than the fact that they are a little chewier than regular donuts they taste pretty much the same. The shop was fairly busy when we arrived (it was a Sunday at 10 am) but I was greeted by a very helpful young man who advised me of the specials and shared his personal favorites. I decided on 2 donuts (they do serve breakfast as well but keep in mind that seating is limited) Strawberry Frosted & a Rye Whiskey Long John. Both were very good but my favorite was the Long John, you could definitely pick up the taste of the rye whiskey, subtle and sweet. The prices are on par with what “gourmet” donuts are going for everywhere but it does keep people from picking up a dozen that’s for sure. I also ordered an Orange Mango Juice thinking it would be fresh juice so I was a bit taken aback to see the clerk reach into the fridge and pour from a Trop 50 bottle of Orange Mango Juice. Bad enough I just paid $3 for a cup of juice but the artificial sweetener in the juice made it way too sweet with a horrible aftertaste. The staff is all very friendly and I think its awesome that they employ someone with special needs. The young man who greeted me came running outside when he saw our golden retriever and spent several minutes loving on him and chatting with us.

This was my first time eating at Glory Doughnuts. I must say, I was very impressed with how busy they became in just the hour that my wife and I were there. It was a great experience. I live an hour away and was in the area. When I saw Vegan Breakfast on the Google search, I was super excited. The place is tiny but the employees were super friendly. I had a Tofu Fried Egg sandwich w/peppers, tomato, vegan cheese on Texas Toast, Their Vegan donuts are amazing. Next time, I’m trying their Pancakes. I’ve been Vegan since February 2017 and this is my best vegan restaurant experience so far. I will go back again. I highly recommend this place even if you have to wait for your food. If your reading this, I hope you give Glory Doughnuts a try. Enjoy.

This place is a gem. Not only is the space welcoming and colorful but all the food they serve is plant based and tastes incredible. I ordered the French toast which was the perfect balance of crispy and fluffy. My wife ordered Huevos Rancheros and they were also heavenly. The “eggs” were seasoned to perfection and tasted like they were made with corn meal which gave them more of a fluffy and scrambled texture that was filling and kept us going back for more. They even make doughnuts and tea! If you are ever in MD you have to check out this spot. Can’t wait to go back for another delicious bite.
