Gloria’s Mexican Restaurant in Sun Prairie is an absolute gem! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by beautiful, vibrant murals that make the entire place feel warm, welcoming, and full of culture. The atmosphere alone puts you in a great mood.
But the real star here? The steak tacos. Hands down some of the best I’ve had anywhere. The meat is perfectly seasoned, tender, and tastes truly authentic, just like you’d hope for from real Mexican cooking. Every bite is packed with flavor, and you can tell they take pride in doing things the right way.
If you’re looking for a place with amazing food, friendly vibes, and gorgeous artwork on the walls, Gloria’s is definitely worth the visit. Highly recommend!

We came here for dinner tonight for the first time in years. It used to be so good that there was always a long wait. We now know why we were seated immediately – it was awful. Everything was way overpriced and they seemed like they’re trying to be upscale and pretentious.
They charge for more than 1 basket of chips and the basket was very skimpy. The large margarita was $19 which wasn’t displayed on the menu. My chimichanga was burnt and hard, and my rice was really overcooked. And the waitress didn’t really come around much to refill waters.
We were very disappointed to say the least and we won’t be back. It really sucks to spend your money on something that sucks, especially right now. Then I get this. $11 for two small containers of queso chorizo dip. I mentioned even to the person who gave me my order what was this? It’s not the normal portion whatsoever. Ordered take out from there. Everything else was good, except the churros were a disappointment. For $7 I was very disappointed. There was lettuce in the box, which made me think did they reuse the takeout box? And the churros were not fresh. And no icing like the picture showed on the website. Also the person at the front desk was not very friendly, rude actually.

We visited this place for an early dinner on a weekday and it was fairly busy, but we were seated right away. The place has a nice, casual vibe and it’s a great place for individuals, families and groups.
I started with my favorite drink, Michelada and I was not disappointed. It’s difficult to find a good tasting michelada, but they did a good job. I was glad to see that they had an entire section for vegetarian items on the menu. I tried their two vegetarian tacos and I really liked them both. I liked the different toppings on both tacos and the flavors. However, they were a bit smaller than I expected. I would love to go back here and try more items on their menu!

I have had 4 instances where I have ordered from DoorDash from this restaurant for pick up. When my order says ready for pick up and I go inside they always “try looking for it” and say they never received order. Never going back especially for their extra taxed food. A tamale should never be 4 dollars be for real. Definitely spend your money elsewhere. I have as well ordered and dined in here in the past and the food is semi good but the service is so dreadful. Beware

First, I have eaten here countless of times however the service quality hasn’t been good lately. The last time I was there I was seated about 8:25 PM. I placed my order about 8:30 PM and the food arrive shortly after. But they started to putting up the chairs as we began to eat, and I felt that I was being rushed out of there. They brought me the bill as I was eating without even asking me if I needed anything else. I get that the staff wants to get out of there however the hour of closing is 9 PM and if that’s the case, they should have the hours changed to 8:30 PM.
