Ordered the appetizer mix at Global Bistro and had a mix of hits and misses. The hummus was very creamy and smooth, and the baba ghanoush stood out with a nice smoky flavor. The fattoush salad was excellent—fresh, well-dressed, and full of flavor. The chicken shawarma was also good, and the portions overall were very generous.

Unfortunately, some items fell short. The kibbeh was a bit too greasy and lacked seasoning, and the falafel was extremely dry and bland, which was disappointing. Overall, there are some solid dishes here and great portion sizes, but consistency across the menu could be improved.

Pretty good food. Alhamdulillah. The rice wasn’t too oily like I have seen other Mandi dishes to be. The salad was flavorful. And the dessert wasn’t over sweet.

My family and I have been coming to Global Bistro for a couple of years and the food has always been delicious. My husband told me that recently their food quality has gone down, which I couldn’t believe at all. Well today I went and decided to try for myself and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement.

We ordered a bunch of food, about $90 worth. I’ve had to throw half of it away.

The falafel had clearly been cooked previously and then deep fried for a second or third time. It was hard, dry, and chewy in some places. It tasted disgusting. It was probably the worst falafel I’ve ever had. We could not eat it.

The cheese fatayer was old and chewy. It looked like it had also been reheated, but maybe in a microwave? The cheese was chewy and very thin, like it had been compressed together by high temperature. The meat fatayer had good flavor but the bread was very chewy like it had been microwaved.

The hummus tasted canned.

The cheese sambousek was soggy and wet with grease. It is supposed to be flaky on the outside and crunchy. Awful.

The only saving grace was the kibbeh which tasted fresh and delicious.

Global Bistro in Fairfax is a hidden gem. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. The menu offers a great mix of options, and everything we tried was prepared with attention to detail.

The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance—casual yet refined—making it a solid choice for both family dinners and business lunches.

If you’re in Fairfax and looking for quality food with dependable service, Global Bistro is absolutely worth a visit.

Visited this place by way of a recommendation. I am visiting from out of town. It was a bit of a let down as I expected better. The lamb shank was tender but not that flavorful and the rice was just average. The lamb chops were average and not as flavorful as other restaurants that I’ve dined at. This was just an overall average experience for me.

My family and I have had such great experiences with Global Bistro! We came here for iftar and the food is amazing; they have a variety of dishes and options for everyone. My family and I had such a wonderful time! They also catered an event for us and did such an amazing job, all the food came on time and they made sure it stayed hot until it was time to eat. Everyone loved the food and would not stop talking about how tasty everything was! Definitely recommend!

TASTE (8/10): I tried mixed grill. The meat is absolutely nailed it. Whoever was behind the grill deserves a handshake. The chicken is average, hanging in there. But the rice was dry, tasteless.

PRICE (7/10): Not overpriced, not cheap.

SERVICE (8/10): Self-service. Staff were smiley and kind. No drama, no chaos. Just good vibes and good meat.

ATTITUDE (8/10): Warm and welcoming. The kind of folks who look like they actually want you there.

PLACE (9/10): Spacious enough to host a group. Clean, organized, and not trying too hard. Bonus points for space.

CLEANLINESS (8/10): Tidy and decent. You won’t need to use your napkin as a table sanitizer.

ADDITIONAL FEES/HIDDEN COSTS (10/10): No sneak attacks. What you see is what you pay. Plus, they’re certified halal, so bonus trust points.

OVERALL IMPRESSION: Go there for the meat. Just pretend the rice is a decoration.

Food was extra dry, not fresh and no flavor. The arayes that was served is burnt, even the onion was served with its skin. Hair on food, tahini was watery. Save your money and go somewhere else.
