Fun upscale atmosphere.

Beautiful restaurant. The inside feels “classy” with the fancy chandeliers, framed mirrors and cool wine bottle decoration.

Thoroughly disappointed and ruined my day. Classic breakfast with B&G. Total failure not worth the price, seemingly yesterdays reheated leftovers. I love breakfast but this sorry food made me die inside just a bit more.

Had a wonderful lunch here on a whim. The food was delicious and satisfying. That cornbread is incredible! Also, the service was the best I have had in a restaurant in Columbia. Callie knows what she’s doing and was incredibly fast and accommodating, as well as very personable. Ask for her! I’ll be coming back soon!

We were there on Thanksgiving Day, which featured a three course meal with two choices for each course. I had the salad: delightful, perfect lettuce, tangy dressing, butternut squash, pumpkin seeds, pomegranate seeds, goat cheese. My husband had the soup: delicious, hot, butternut—maybe just a tiny bit too sweet. I had the acorn squash main course, which sounded good but had *way* too many bell peppers — it’s all I could taste, even when I picked them out; also one squash half was undercooked and I couldn’t get my fork through it. My husband had the redfish, which was deliciously spicy and perfectly cooked. His grits needed seasoning, but were fine eaten with the yummy fish. Dessert was so underwhelming: we both had the apple pie. Fantastic flavors, good pastry, but cold and plain. Could have been a perfect 10 if the slices had been cooked a bit more to slightly brown the pastry, and then served hot with maybe a little whipped cream or caramel sauce or something. Overall, we decided a 6 out of 10. The server was really wonderful and the atmosphere and decor were just lovely. We will definitely go back.

Memorial Day weekend in Columbia, where the sidewalks roll up at dark on a Sunday. Delighted to find a restaurant that had outdoor seating that wasn’t in the sun and that allowed us to dine with our dogs so they didn’t have to hang out in the car.

Have never been treated so rudely at a restaurant. Tonight my family and I walked in and waited 5 minutes before a guy stumbled to the desk after talking with his coworker the whole time. We were immediately sat which was great. But then we waited. and Waited. 15 minutes went by and no one had even came to the table. Then 20. I counted 4 times the waiters walked by our table, looked at us, and still didn’t even come up to us. Keep in mind there were maybe 4 other tables filled. After we got up to leave, my dad went to tell the hostess we were leaving but only got 2 words out before she literally walked away. She definitely heard us. I’m going to be a student at Mizzou but definitely will never be returning. Even my 10 year old sister knew that was horrible customer service. It’s a shame because the food looked good but oh well.

Food was great but the service can definitely improve. It was no busy at all and food took a while. Love the atmosphere and the decor. Love the nice touch of mailing an Original Glenn’s Cafe postcard for you to love ones. That really added to my experience. I order the soup of the day (beef/potato/ chimichuri) and the Shrimp and grits. I will visit again when in Columbia.

The best part of this brunch was the free splash of champagne.
