Everyone I encountered was very friendly and extremely professional, yet also personable.
Isaac, the bartender was very good and keeping track of me and the other guests. He also made a very sound recommendation for my dinner
I ended up with Elk Rib Chop. The consistency of the meat was slightly chewy, but offered good flavor. My salad was great and the accompanying potatoes and vegetables were excellent. Mixed drinks were on par. The bread and butter were equally satisfying.
Overall, dining here was a great experience. I’m also happy to report that I accidentally left my cc with the check. The assisting waiter ran out after me and caught me in the parking lot. Thank you very much for taking me down! – losing that cc would have caused me a lot of grief on the rest of my trip.
I’ll be sure to stop in again on my next trip through town. Excellent job to everyone there.
We just had dinner there tonight after a month of planning what we were going to do for Thanksgiving since most of us work in healthcare and didn’t have the day off.
My father in law gifted us a $300 gift card last year for Glen Eagles- so we decided to finally use it and have our late Thanksgiving dinner here with our family.
Upon receiving our bill, we were told we cannot use our gift card since we had a large party (9) and the card indicated on the back it cannot be used with “Large Parties” but not specifying what that meant in numbers. Regardless- we had paid our bill despite our frustration with the situation, and before leaving I had addressed the situation and frustration with the staff.
The front desk hostess was rude upon hearing me discussed it also with the General Manager (gentleman walking around greeting everyone). I explained that I am only addressing the situation to make them aware that they need to clarify on there gift cards what a “Large Party” entails… so that no one else has to endure the same situation. I was not looking for a refund or to force them to use the gift card. Also, I just wanted to understand why they set limitations on a gift card that was bought with my father in law’s money? We weren’t trying to get a free meal or get discount, this isn’t a coupon- which a coupon should have limitations. THIS WAS A GIFT CARD bought with my family’s own money!
We don’t work in the restaurant industry, so we don’t know what a “Large Party” means.
And we don’t think about asking this information when booking a dinner with family and/ wanting to use a gift card. There should be no limitations! We were not informed of this when we called to make reservations! So I’m simply disappointed in the lack of clarification as it was not elaborated on the gift card, Yelp, Google or Glen Eagle’s website – and when addressing the concern, the staff disregards it and made it seem like I am trying to get a refund. Next time do not offer to sell gift cards with restrictive conditions limiting their use. It’s not right, you’re not losing money by people using gift cards. You already took my father in law’s money when he purchased a $300 gift card at your restaurant.
For everyone using gift cards, know you can’t use it on parties greater than 6.
The atmosphere is nice, but it’s loud. The room has a bit of an echo so sound just bounces and makes it challenging to have a conversation when there are four or five other groups dining in the same room.
Bar was so noisy. We like to support local, but I’m afraid we will not go back.
