Super cute retro vibe at Gladys’ Diner at Graceland! You grab a tray and check out cafeteria-style, so it’s quick and casual (no table service). They have pizzas, hot dogs, and snacks simple but perfect for a fun Graceland stop. Loved the vintage décor and the option to sit at one of the car tables such a cool touch!

Gladys’ Diner is a neat looking place with a booth built out of an old Cadillac and great background music. The food is good but mostly sandwiches and sides. The service is not very friendly. They do go through the motion of taking your order but seem like they would be happier to not have to be there.

The diner was interesting with a retrofitted car that you could eat in. I did enjoy the grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich which I just had to try.
It is cafeteria style, basically where you go around and make your selection and pay upon exit into the dining area where you can sit and eat.
I did have to have milk with my grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich. However, the two cartons of white milk that I purchased were expired by four days. Fortunately, I did not get sick from drinking about half of the first before, noticing the expiration date. They did, however, replace both with two fresh cartons and apologized.

Nothing special just your ordinary pizza, hot dog, burgers and PB&B sandwich. Pizza Slices are big and costs $7.29 with 1 slice good for two people. Hot Dog Special was good at $9.71 dog, fries and drink. Fruit cup was also ok. Nice theme place with plenty of seating including a Cadillac cut out. Since it’s on site it makes it easier than going off site.

Real bad experience yesterday. We’re french tourists, and while we were struggling to order and needed help, the “hot-dog lady” came from nowhere, very unpleasant, and looked at me like she wanted to punch me. So rude.

….This could have been a great experience. However, while eating and talking, we looked down to notice a black roach moving his legs and looking back at us! It was at the table that was made out of a Cadillac. When calling this to management’s attention, she argued saying it was a “water bug”….we refuted that explanation and Google lensed the bug right in front of her to which revealed it WAS a cockroach! No apology from staff, only an attitude and dismissal.
The staff behind the kitchen area were inattentive and rude. Very dismissive and acted entitled and as if we were bothering them. ….do better, seriously. The food was excellent but now im wondering if more “Water bugs” were part of the food prep process
The seat upholstery is torn and the restaurant looks neglected. Lisa Marie never would have tolerated this. Very sad. Save your money and eat somewhere else..

None of us in my group of 3 were overly impressed with the food. It was not the best, but I would go again and try something different. If you want a quick bite, go here. But if you’re wanting good food in the are, go to Vernon’s.
