Stopped by Gladiator Burger in Waterloo and loved that the burgers and fries are made fresh off the grill — you can tell care goes into the food. The location is also fantastic, right in the heart of Waterloo and only steps away from two well-known universities.
Unfortunately, the food seriously needs seasoning. There was no salt at all on the burgers or fries, and without it, the flavors completely fall flat. Fresh ingredients can only shine so much without proper seasoning. A little salt would go a long way and could easily turn this into a regular go-to spot.
One more very important note: accessibility. The restaurant is currently extremely wheelchair inaccessible. The main entrance has stairs but somehow has the automatic door button there, while the side entrance — the only one with level ground — has no button at all. Please make that make sense… actually, never mind. This really needs to be fixed ASAP.
With better seasoning and proper accessibility, this place has the potential to be an amazing spot for everyone.

Gladiator Burger is truly one of a kind! I had a fantastic lunch and enjoyed one of the best burgers of my life. The portions are big and packed with flavour. Staff was quick in serving the big group I was at lunch with it. I am looking forward to my next visit.

OMG! This was one of the best burgers I have eaten in the past few years! The one I chose had a thick crispy cheese inside and it was delicious! Service was fast, friendly and courteous. The waiter brought our order to the table less than 10min after we placed our order.

Has to be one of the best burger place in the KWC region. It’s on the busy street on university ave right near Albert street. The burgers absolutely delicious and packing with flavour. My favourite go to side is sweet potato fries as they are really good. Been here couple of times and it still tastes the same no wonder people keep coming back.

Was surprised with this place, good food, good prices and good service. Place is clean, people are nice, and more importantly, the food is good with refillable fountain drink. In times with high inflation like these days, i got my chicken burger combo for just $10.99. It’s like pre-pandemic pricing before all the prices increased! Will definitely come back here again!

Soggy buns and got charged for 3 burgers when I called in an order for 2.
The burgers were really good and really filling. They are also really messy. My burgers bun was completely drenched and it was just packaged. Fries were mid.
My main complaint is that when I called in my order for 2 burgers the language barrier ended up making me pay for 3 combos when I only wanted the 2 burgers. It’s hard to order from a place when they don’t fully understand English.
