Have special ordered cakes here a few times. Each time I get rave reviews. This time they went out of their way to work with me on a non standard flavor for my Dad’s celebration of life. The cake was delicious and beautiful. They took great care, both with the cake and coordinating with me. Highly recommend. Thank you Give Thanks Bakery for another memorable cake.

Amazing!!! Seriously the best pastries I have ever had and I have been to Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, many more parts of the world and the pastires are mind blowing. My 9 year old daughter even said she thought it was better than what we had in Paris. The almond crossiant was my absolute favorite, but you really cant go wrong with anything here!! So good, so so fresh!! Wonderful staff, we even took a photo with one of the owners. 🙂

Whenever in Michigan, never miss a visit to Give Thanks Bakery. Everything they have has a “made with hands” authentic feel. Have loved their almond croissant for years and that first bite is always blissful.
It’s a must visit and you realize in the end what you could have missed had you not come here.

Give Thanks Bakery in Rochester, MI, is an absolute hit. From the moment you step inside, you’re enveloped by the delightful smells of fresh bread and the rich, nostalgic aromas of the old world. It’s easily the best bakery in the area, offering a truly authentic and sensory experience. This locally owned business is a must-visit, and supporting it feels like a privilege. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, don’t miss the chance to experience this exceptional bakery.

I have gotten several things at Give Thanks since they opened in Rochester, but their Lebkuchen is what has persuaded me to leave a review. If you’d like to be transported back to Germany for a minute, get the Lebkuchen. Theirs promotes fruit rather than nuts, which I have always preferred. Lemon icing is beautiful, and I love that you can peal their wafers off the bottom (not a fan of oblate, although even theirs is good).

So, if you’d like a gluten free, German holiday treat, do not hesitate.

Lovely service and terrific food. I showed up about 10 minutes before they opened – Without me, asking, they open the door and took my order. I had one of the most delicious scones I’ve ever had. I’m looking forward to going back and trying more of their offerings..

Beautiful local European bakery. The staff makes the customer feel special and greeted from the moment you walk in the door. The selection is wide and ambience is cozy. I’d recommend the almond croissant, fresh fruit tart and the asiago cheese garlic bread. Everything is a must try at this place. The prices are budget friendly and quality is fresh. They will probably run out of stalk if you get there late which shows they only sell things made fresh early morning. I went in there first time and felt like I’m like their most regular customers. Don’t miss out on this hidden gem just because it’s easy to miss. Entrance is on the back of mainstream right across the parking lot. I’ll definitely be a regular customer here now.

This place is so amazing – from the moment I walk in the aromas of fresh bread and pastries are mouth watering. I’ve tried the croissants and sourdough bread – so crunchy on the outside and airy, but moist on the inside. I feel like I’m in Europe when I eat here! Today I tried the best chicken salad croissant sandwich I’ve EVER had !! I also enjoyed a dirty chai tea for the first time – so good!
