Giuseppe’s owners Mike and Raffaele Misciagna have a rich history of authentic Italian cooking. In 1978, the brothers opened their first pizzeria, Italian Village, inside the Fort Henry Mall (formerly Kingsport Town Centre). The success of Italian Village led to the opening of their second restaurant, Giuseppe’s, in 1987. In 1993, the Misciagna brothers opened their third restaurant, Raffaele’s, in Colonial Heights.
The Misciagnas pride themselves on preparing and serving delicious meals with superior customer satisfaction. Their restaurants always use the freshest ingredients, including top quality meats and seafood. Visit any of their locations for exceptional food and great atmosphere.

We recently visited Giuseppe’s and had a mixed experience. The service was truly excellent—attentive, friendly, and prompt, making our dining experience enjoyable.
However, we were disappointed with the Mediterranean Salad with salmon. The salmon was unfortunately over cooked, which took away from the dish.

First time dining at Giuseppe’s. Came because we’d heard how good the prime rib was. Minnie took great care of us. Making recommendations and making sure all of our needs were attended to. The food was good. The prime rib definitely hit! Hubby said, it’s the best he’s had in this area. The quality of meat was what made it great! The raw oysters were good, wouldn’t get the oysters Rockefeller again. Didn’t care for the cheese & spinach they added. The chicken cacciatore was okay. Was a little too sweet for my liking but adding red pepper flakes helped. The wine selection is nice. The garlic bread was not good. Very dry and bland. I would like to go back and try a different dish that had a wine base instead of tomato base. Definitely on the pricier side. 2 glasses of wine, 2 big beers, 2 apps, 2 entrees = $160 with tip

Good food & atmosphere. Definitely a good place if like authentic Italian. It’s busy, but surprisingly quite. We will definitely be back.

The food was good and our server was very kind and accommodating. A couple of small things kept it from being 5 stars: the bread took a little while to come out, which usually helps make the wait feel shorter. Also, we weren’t initially given any butter or olive oil for the bread, but once we asked, they brought out a really nice plate with oil, salt, and herbs — which we appreciated.

Guiseppes has been a staple and venue we frequent in our family for years. Absolutely the best chicken Marsala & love the family ownership. I am writing the review mainly because of the EXCEPTIONAL service we received tonight from Erin. She stayed on top of our refills , was attentive and went above and beyond. Thank you to the establishment and Erin for an excellent experience.

We went last night as a pre Christmas dinner. There were 3 of us and we got seated in a booth which is always good with us. We ordered a bottle of the house red for $23 and it was worth it. I think we all had 2.5 glasses and it was a very good tasting wine. Some reds will give me a headache but this did not. Okay so the food….I got chicken parm, my wife a spinach calzone and our friend lasagna. Each of us really enjoyed what we had and the bread and dinner salad were also very good. The salad was fresh and the right size as to not get filled up on prior to the main course. Our waitress checked in on us just the right amount and we never needed anything. The portions were perfect. We all agreed that this is a restaurant that we would come back to again.

Took the husband here for an early bday dinner (we’ve meang to try this place forever). Service was prompt, she was super attentive and paced our appetizer/soup/main perfectly- and while we couldn’t finish either delish main, I did talk the birthday boy into sharing tirimasu, which they gifted to him. Food was just wonderful with no complaints from me at all, even the soup, which I’m super picky about. Is it fazolis prices, no, but for the quality and a nice meal out, worth it imo.
Definitely a local gem, and we will be returning!

Was looking for a place to go for our Anniversary Dinner during the week, I’m glad we chose to come here. I had read reviews the food was great and they were right! The food was absolutely delicious! From the appetizers, to the garlic bread and every dish we ate. Our daughter went along as we are new in town but it was such a pleasant evening. Service was great. Mood was perfect inside the restaurant, lights slightly dim for romantic feel. Their house white wine was crisp and tasty! We will definitely be back!

This was a pretty nice restaurant. The dish I tried didn’t really work. It was sausage with onions and peppers over spaghetti. I think the long noodles were difficult to eat with the other parts. Also the smooth noodles didn’t collect as much sauce as a ribbed or textured pasta would. The onions should maybe have been cooked a little more. They were almost raw as was the peppers. I like raw peppers and onions but it did not work here. It was a little difficult getting my drink refilled.
