The meatballs were a great starter. Sauce was relatively simple but complimentary to the very Italian flavored meatballs. Good balance of Italian style seasoning, garlic, and parm subtlety. Nicely seared so a delicious crust.
The gnocchi was the star of the main course. Good texture and good combination flavor profile, BUT you could identify each of the key elements with the mushroom base permeating everything with the gorgonzola accenting it. A little bit of spicy kick that wrapped it all together. Delicious. The capelletti was also very tasty. More subtle. A nice richness given by duck confit and tomato paste base. Pasta was perfectly cooked. The only comment I would make is the filling did not stand out, but that may have been the intent. Very good option if you want a well balanced permeated flavor profile.
The apple crisp was very good. Crisp, nicely baked and flavorful, but the almond torta was the dessert star. The texture of the torta was perfect and the almond was clear and present. The rhubarb compote was a perfect match. Just the right sweetness vs sharpness. Simple but delicious.
Drinks were great. Emelia gimlet was boozey but sharp and sweet balance, lots of other options like spritzers and others to chose from, AS WELL AS NON-ALCHOLIC options, so you can enjoy a nice cocktail while maintaining sobriety!
Staff was good, knew the menu make good suggestions. Attentive but not interruptive. Well done
In the Hotel Emery ground floor, just for reference.
Would absolutely go back to explore the other parts of menu!!
We wrapped up with the butterscotch and chocolate mouse, it was really light with the butterscotch crunch on top! Apparently after the apps I forgot to take more pictures but would highly recommend!
The food was excellent, our waitress was sweet and the atmosphere was perfect. Thank you!
It was so good – we stopped in for breakfast only to get socks knocked off with Mafia bacon
The decor and environment were absolutely stunning. Elegant yet comfortable, with soft lighting, warm textures, and a layout that made the space feel both lively and intimate. It set the tone for what turned out to be one of the best tasting menus I have had in recent memory.
Chef Brandon Hurley is truly a talent. Not only is his technical execution impeccable, but he was also such a joy to talk to. It was fun to nerd out about food with someone who clearly brings both passion and precision to the plate. Each dish was layered, intelligent, and full of surprises without ever feeling overly complex.
The first course opened with a smoked paprika macaron topped with Wagyu stone, ground mustard, and gherkin, paired with a sesame cornet filled with salmon, lemon dill crème fraîche, and a chive baton. The pairing with an extra dry Prosecco was perfect and immediately set a high bar.
Next came a scallop crudo that was as visually beautiful as it was refreshing. Cured scallop with dill oil, celery green apple vinaigrette, daikon, and a delicate honey tuile created a clean and balanced dish. The mitake pasta that followed was deeply satisfying with earthy shiitake ricotta, summer truffle, braised meat, and a mustard cream that brought everything together seamlessly.
The pressed lamb course might have been my favorite. Tender and flavorful, it was elevated by bright citrus and creamy cabbage with peas and demi glace. Every bite tasted like spring, vibrant and full of life.
We ended with a stunning torta di cioccolato layered with hazelnut meringue, dark chocolate, and a beautifully bitter burnt cream. It was indulgent without being overwhelming and the perfect final note to an already phenomenal meal.
Giulia’s Italian wine selection is exceptional, offering both familiar varietals and exciting discoveries. The pairings throughout the evening were thoughtful and enhanced each course in ways that felt intentional and precise.
I am already looking forward to the seafood focused pre fixe menu launching July 15. I will definitely be back to explore more, including the regular dinner menu and brunch. Giulia is the kind of place that makes you fall in love with dining out all over again.

They have vegetarian gluten-free options. There is a symbol for vegan options as well but when we were there, there was no vegan meal on the menu.
It’s good for a date night or when you meet with friends or even with a bigger group. They have plenty of space.
