Giti Thai is an awesome mom and pop spot smack dab in the middle of Los Angeles. The owner JeRome, is a very nice man who comes from humble beginnings. The service was awesome, the food was awesome and guess what? The entire experience was awesome! Please visit and enjoy a great meal.

Being a Black owned Thai restaurant is what peaked my interest. The food was DELICIOUS!!! SERVICE friendly. ATMOSPHERE inviting. The menu offered a large variety of dishes. Plenty of seating. Karaoke each Monday night. A band plays there, too. Call to find out when they will play again. Pretty cool place. I’ll return!

My husband brought me food from here and when he pulled up to drop it off he said it was the first and last time we could get food from there. When I asked why he brought up the price. I thought he was joking! $26 for a not packed container of noodles and side of white rice? Listen, I know inflation is alive and well, and had the portion been bigger or the food been a bit tastier (it was pretty average/standard drunken noodles IMO) then MAYBE I could understand, but nahhh. The online price for drunken noodles said $14.99 so either we got overcharged or they hiked up the price and haven’t adjusted their website. They didn’t even have utensils or at least chopsticks for the takeout order. Luckily I had a plastic fork saved in my car for moments like this but damn. Idk maybe it’s just not for broke folk But personally I’ve gone to other places and gotten more flavor and portions for less money.

I had the Spicy Catfish with Vegetables and it was delicious! This was my first time eating Thai food. Not only was the food good, the owner was wonderful! He came over and talked with us and told us a little about himself. It was one of the nicest dining experiences I’ve ever had. I will definitely go back next time I’m in LA!

Absolutely hidden gem and neighborhood favorite. Lamb chops are perfectly prepared and my favorite thing on the menu next to the panang curry. Possibly the best panang in LA.

Went here for karaoke was nice and had great fun. Food was good, great atmosphere friendly service. I was informed no more karaoke, owner said wasn’t doing good financially. Kind of odd though it was packed out for the last 5 weeks I know he made money, very strange?? (Black Owned)

Not sure how to rate Giti Thai. Food is good enough but inconsistent, for me. Pineapple fried rice advertised to include shrimp and chicken. When ordered and eaten on site it was very good. Two times after I got all chicken and now, all shrimp. Even after I called it to the attention of the order taker. Medium is so spicy hot I can hardly taste other flavors. Last time, mild level was not flavorful enough. This neighborhood spot won’t see much of me.

Went in and was told to seat anywhere we like, sat down but then was relocated because a big party had reserved half the restaurant, barely sat down so okay no problem . Wanted a seat next to the windows so me and my girl sat in a table for 6 away from the reserved area with approval and seemly without issue. The waiter took our order and brought us water, she was friendly and nice. (I believe the owner) then approached us and asked if we had 4 more people coming to which we then replied no with a face of inconvenience, he then proceeded to remove our empty pre-placed decorative plates and stated “we wouldn’t need them and didn’t want us to break them” we were very confused but we thought he wanted to seem helpful however we didn’t much appreciate the gesture but we politely thanked him anyway. Ordered the yellow chicken curry and drunken beef noodles. It was absolutely delicious and their Thai tea was very good as well. We in total paid around 40$ for two plates and a drink.

Absolutely love this place! The Thai food is fantastic. Veggies are very fresh, meat is all Halal, and it’s Black owned! The pad wood sen, drunken noodle, pad Thai, tom yum, tom kha, coconut shrimp, Kev’s shrimp rolls, papaya salad, crying tiger, and the mango sticky rice were all delicious, and the staff and owners very friendly. Cant wait to come back for more!
