Less than a star! Shrimp was dry and burnt.. rice tasted like rubber. Seamse chicken was even worse zero taste and way over cooked. Definitely not worth thirty dollars. Very disappointing so difficult to find good Chinese food around the youngstown area.

The food is good. I always get the Cream Cheese Fried Wonton and the Sesame Chicken Special Combination. While I miss the broccoli in the sesame chicken, the biggest issue I have is that there is always this white dude working the counter in there now and I don’t like him. I wish you could still order online. Always asking for a “Name for the order”… You got my phone number bro! You used to call and they say “Girard Wok” and you just tell them what you want, they say ok, 10 minute, and then when you go to pick it up you can just tell them what you ordered or the last 4 of your phone number. But this guy makes it annoying, and he’s always in a bad mood or something. Then he never gives me any fortune cookies, the last 3 times I ordered, I didn’t get any. Get rid of this guy!

I’ve been going to Girard Wok for years. I never have and don’t think I ever will find anywhere with better Chinese food than these folks. An absolute staple to the Girard community. I’ve since moved states away and every time I visit I make sure I stop here!

Always on the lookout for a decent Chinese takeout. After ordering from here – I will keep looking. Ordered the Sweet and Sour Shrimp combo, Moo Goo Gai Pan combo, boneless ribs, and chicken teriyaki on sticks. None of the food was good. Chicken teriyaki and boneless ribs were both over cooked and dry…midway to being jerky. Moo Goo Gai Pan was very bland. Sweet and sour shrimp had more breading than shrimp and sauce was bland. Egg rolls were not crispy and they were also bland. The reason I didn’t give one star is because the vegetables in my dish were fresh and the restaurant was clean. I would not recommend any of the dishes that I ordered.

I’ve been going to Girard Wok for decades. The recipes are superior to any other Chinese takeout in the valley. Their Consistency and attention to detail is paramount to their longevity. From the egg rolls to the Egg Foo young gravy it’s the best around. Sue is also such a sweetheart. She even brought me authentic tea back from her yearly visits back to China. I hope everyone gives Girard Wok a try because we’re very blessed to have them in our community.
